I STILL can't skate so Session it is!

I STILL can't skate so Session it is! My separated AC injury is feeling WAY better and is healing great, but I'm still not able to skate, so we're back to playing Session! I'm definitely excited to be able to skate again, as well as get back on the racing simulator to get some BeamNG and Assetto Corsa going, but in the mean time, Session it is. Hoping to be able to skate again in the next week or two. Fingers crossed.

The #1 thing i want added to session is a backpack/inventory system. I think it would be so cool to not have to go back to your apartment for everything. Like being able to carry some wax, an extra board, wheels, a shirt, grip tape. And be to move them around in your backpack resident evil inventory style. I just want as many immersive sim features as possible!

Honestly, the whole skate shop mechanic sounds more cool than it is. I never really liked the money mechanic in EA Skate or Session, it's kinda more limiting than it is investing. At least in Skate your boards and stuff didn't break.

@@pedrocoppola1085 I mean you can turn off wear and tear in your setting so they don’t wear down/break. I like having those “realistic” type features tho. But like you said, it sounds cooler than it actually is. Those features need to be expanded

If I were the lead developer on this game, my priorities would be: -Animations for throwdown, pickup and cavemans, plus general animation tweaks to grinding and bailing. -Transition physics improvements. In my opinion, these changes would address the "unfinished" complaint that we hear in the community often, and add a layer of polish that would really bring everything together. After that, I would think about adding grabs and multiplayer. The good thing about the move to Unreal 5, is it means that they plan to continue supporting the game with the latest tools available to them.

Vaginer!! Happy to help you flip better!! Only took me 515h of gameplay to figure out that the flip speed stats have zero impact if you don't put the flip and scoop setting to "input speed".

Just to be clear, the flip speed stat is actually at the middle with the default stats. I personally set mine to 4 above default. Same with my scoop speed

I wish you could quickly switch between custom settings without having to go in the settings menu. Like hold the right bumper and toggle with the d-pad between custom settings so you could hippie flip, then low pop setting and then maybe a high pop setting.

You should try directional popping into grinds. You can do very slight directional pops if you play around with the angle of your back foot.

The big roof gap above and across the top of el toro in schoolyard is fun to put 3 rails together from roof to roof and skate it. I set it up with spotlights for a sick roof night sesh above el toro

as to your question, what it would be cool to add to the game. nothing to do with the skating at all but i was just thinking how fun it would be to hit pedestrians with your board like you used to be able to in the Skate games. You even pissed them off enough that they would attack you. would be a fun addition in Session.

Right now I'd really enjoy dynamic clothing that moves while you skate. That would just make everything look so much more stylish. That with an animations update would be sick. I always imagined an animations update as something where you have multiple animations to choose from for pushing and tricks. Kind of like skate 3, but with the option to choose your animation style for every individual trick (since session's whole thing is being able to customize everything about how the game feels). I think doing it like that combined with the way we can already customize our stats, would give every player a pretty unique style. Style diversity is one of the most realistic things you can do in a skate sim.

8:30 hey garret. Im thinking since early acess. So my vision its implemented new mecanic for L3 or R3. Imagine when you press with bumpers you can do a boneless. Or press b and L3 or R3 for break with a tail side( you kinda can if you activate lip tricks but its so schetchy). Like little beginers tricks, but implement in mecanic on control.

Setting speed stats to fastest youd like is adjusting what the max is and the stick movement speed allows to access the full range. Bout time you figured it out.🙃I set mine to whatever amount of flips id want to mimic irl😊 Same kinda goes for pop height. I got my low at 0 and high just about default. With proper timing, you can get mid pops and also for high stuff you can rocket ollie(slow flick) and then bone out for the "up& over" so you dont have to up high pop. Hope all this makes sense😅

Skate games are the best when your injured I feel like I enjoy them when so but the feeling is bitter sweet. Especially with session and tweaking with the settings I get ideas and little boost of confidence to try new tricks. Stg I learned kick flip 50-50 through this game as crazy as it sounds.

You can do dolphin flips. Do varial input but rocket it. Can do them with varial heels. Also grabs use to be in it but barely worked, but got taken out for lip tricks.

Any tips on tre flip in manual catch? Every flip trick can be caught so easily but if I try to land a try like everything else it only Varial flips

I had this problem too at first. First try lowering the scoop friction. Having full rotation is better than half rotation for scoop tricks too. And make sure that whichever stick your scooping with, you're scooping completely before doing the kickflip input. It's a weird timing to get down at first, like you want to do like 80 to 90% of the scoop before you kickflip
