If you bring any of the baatu characters out of the world and don't remove their baatu trait, other baatu characters will congregate around them in the other worlds. it shouldn't happen if you remove the trait with mccc.

I think that might have to do with you using mods or something. With no mods and cc on console I’ve only ever seen three Batuu sim outside of Batuu and they were all social bunny contacts/friends of my sim.

one of the many things that annoy me about this pack is the missed potential. we could've had a force-sensitive occult lifestate, maybe a force skill tree, I myself would've loved a few new deaths (death by lightsaber duel maybe?). even the ability to build our own space vacation homes on batuu? instead we get a glorified amusement park advertisement :/ edit: thought of more. why couldn't we have had more recognisable characters eg Leia, Luke, han solo, Yoda etc? why couldn't there have been more compatibility with the get to work aliens? also I'm still annoyed that the black lightsaber crystal doesn't give you the cool black lightsaber (from clone wars I think)

I've been playing The Sims Medieval the past few days a lot. That game managed to have a full sim experience, plenty of quests, while also having a consistent and tight theme the entire time. It's possible to make a good game that sticks to a theme totally removed from the normal Sims frame. But Star Wars Advertisement Pack isn't it.

Jesse babes, there’s a setting in MCCC that allows you to copy and paste make up and accessories to every outfit. I think it’s in the MC CAS module but can’t be sure. Once again modders fixing the game when EA can’t

I feel like a lot of the smaller items make great clutter for a nerd/geek room. I still wish they had gone another direction with the theme. The Star Wars crossover had potential if we had gotten either an occult made of Jedi/Sith or at list a Force Skill/system of some kind or both. I think the reason we didn't is because Disney wanted it to be a theme park ad instead. So much potential wasted. Also, give Star Wars a shot if you want to. I suggest watching the movies in the order that they released in though. Its hard to go back and watch the first 3 if you have seen the prequel trilogy or the sequel trilogy already. They have a good story behind them though. They also have some pretty good cartoons I've heard too with good stories.

the only reason i even remotely think of batuu often is because... fuck, the build and buy is actually GOOD for the type of builder that i am. like the items bring me joy the same way james turner - formerly known as the sim supply - screams "aww, batuu!" when he sees something batuu-related. the STONES? i use them EVERYWHERE, idc if it makes my lots less downloadable, those stones are a MASTERPIECE of architecture as far as i'm concerned babes xx (also the industrial furniture, weird plants, the orange booths, those dangly things that look like spliced coral reefs / herbs, even the round bars - which i'd appreciate more of... like the style is right up my alley and if they were to do this collab NOW, god this would probably be one of the most versatile ~kits we'd have.)

Two main problems with wellies is that they can be a bit cold if you don't wear extra thick socks, and that they're flat and generally unsupportive so fine for pottering about but can lead to sore calves/knees/ankles if you're out on them for a long walk. I like it, but mainly because of the things I had to do to make it enjoyable, like building lodgings below the cantina, with a full kitchen. What I really dislike about it is EA prevents other objects from other packs from being used there. Creative play is killed. I wanted to put in that espionage device from Strangerville so I could blackmail Imperial officers, but it does not work in Batuu. I wanted to use drones to live-stream from there, but they don't work either.

I’m a Star Wars fan, but having watched people play it and seeing how little there is to actually do (that isn’t a rabbit hole), this pack remains on the bottom of my list to buy. I like the CAS and build/buy stuff, but the world is just literally the Star Wars themed park at Disneyland and Disney World. And while even that could have been fun (based on what I’ve seen friends who’ve been to it), we didn’t even get that. We get the catina to physical go to, the First Order base, and the Resistance base. Everything else is a rabbit hole. Like I’d like to watch my Sim actually try to assemble a droid or make a lightsaber. I wouldn’t have been upset if they had made it just the theme park experience. I mean, if Batuu is actually a world in The Sims as it is supposed to actually be in Star Wars, then does that mean all Sims 4 worlds are in the Star Wars universe? If they are, then they must be in the Unknown Regions because they’ve never been mentioned! LOL Although, if those planets are part of the Star Wars universe (as this pack implies) and LucasFilm which owns and produces Star Wars is owned by Disney, then does that make Bella Goth a Disney princess? LOL :-) But yeah, I’m a fan of Star Wars and even I’m like “I’ll buy it later, there’s other Star Wars games I can play where I actually get to do stuff!” I mean unless they’re planning on doing a pack refresh to actually add actual game play to it beyond just a bunch of rabbit holes. If they did that then it’d move up the ranks of packs I haven’t bought yet. “Where’s the toilets?” Fun fact, until an episode of the animated series Star Wars: Rebels we hadn’t actually ever seen a toilet or restrooms/bathrooms in Star Wars before. The character im that episode refers to it as the refresher. He literally says “I’m going to go use the refresher. I’ll be right back.” Not sure if that’s what it’s called by everyone, but we do briefly see the room as he’s in it. And to no one surprise, it looks exactly like a bathroom/restroom/toilet you’d find in a public place or on an airplane (well a bit bigger than an airplane’s, but yeah what I mean is it function over aesthetic...toilet, sink, mirror, urinal...that’s it). I mean I get to do more with my sim visiting the jungle or going camping than I do in Batuu. Not going to lie, until friends went and posted about it I seriously thought the Batuu theme park was going to be as boring as this pack seems. I honestly enjoy watching people play it just to see what kind of chaos they can cause (with mods) or to watch those who don’t watch Star Wars just talk about it and say all kinds of funny and random things that I am pretty sure I’d think also if I hadn’t been a fan since I was 6. It’d all seem bizarre to me, too. Part of me as a fan of Star Trek and other franchises kinda wishes they’d do packs for those just so I could watch videos of nonfans point out the oddities in them.

Watched this in 1.5 speed at first and I genuinely just thought you were just feeling a bit more unhinged than usual and had loads of energy. Love it though 10/10 normal speed and in 1.5 speed

I had lots of fun with this pack. I made clone troopers, darth vader and emperor palpatine and I even added r2d2. Sure it's barebones but it can be really fun if you get creative with it

I’ll never get this pack, however I have been to galaxy’s edge in Florida and am very impressed how they made the game look exactly like the theme park. Except there’s barely any sims like there are hundreds of sweaty people irl

This pack annoys me because there are so many cool things EA could have done to make it good. It could have been an amusement park holiday destination with a veriety of Star Wars themed activities. It could have worked like Strangerville where the world is just another world but with a storyline. They could have made it into a Werewolves/Vampire/Realm of Magic style progression thing where you organically develop a different kind of character through a skill tree. They had the framework to make it a good pack already in the game, the framework that worked for many older packs. But instead of using any of them, they just made this dull Star Wars game inside the Sims which neither feels like a good Sims experience, nor a good Star Wars experience.

Also as a big star wars fan, I've played the pack once and was so dejected and sad from it. Such a let down. Side note- I would *LOVE* a stranger things pack for the 80s vibe alone

During the first lockdowns here I got laid off but I had enough financial security at the time to snap and buy every pack I didn’t have (mostly stuff packs) so now to this day the only pack I don’t have other than most of the kits is batuu. I just can’t. There’s some cool stuff in build but the pack itself is so offensive to my sensibilities I don’t think I’d even get it if it went free

Never watched StarWars and never will but I like Batuu. It's different enough from the other worlds to feel like a vacation from the dollhouse simulation. I generally play with one or two sims (one household) cheat the allegiances and the stuff (because the quests are boring and repetitive) and then revisit every now and then as a kind of cosplay vacation. It also gives the other sims a positive moodlet when meeting them at some event or other, which is nice. But I only replay after the chosen ones have died. So I've done the quests 3 times so far but enjoyed the music and the food about once a month. I bought it pretty early because of the deco items and laser swords.

I've never cared about starwars at all but I WAS excited for a larger, more interesting alien world to explore with my alien sims for the alien lore... alas
