I haven't played Pokemon since White (though I've been somewhat caught up on things as my brother played all the 3DS ones and I've seen some videos online), I bought Shining Pearl like half a year ago and thoroughly enjoyed it so I was surprised to see how it was received online (though I understand the criticism). Torterra is my favorite grass starter (though Serperior is a close second as White was the first Pokemon game I actually owned and beat the story). I didn't get a single shiny until Violet where I got a bunch, it feels like the odds have been altered for the S/V.

@@GoldenLeafsMovies My first game was White 2, and I bought every following game. I enjoyed every single of it. I was young until sword/shield and bd/sp, so I didn't give a damm about graphics and all that back then. I still stick to that formula to this day tho. For me, a game isn't forced to have good graphics. I think bd/sp are great remakes for what they do. They added not that much, but still a bunch with the great underground which is good. For me, bd/sp battle hg/ss for the 2nd best remakes (after or/as). 2 weeks ago, I got into shiny hunting in bd/sp, which made me appreciate the games even more. Back to where I was: I think the graphics in all 3 mainline switch games (sw/sh, bd/sp and s/v) are good. They arent't THAT good, but they are something to work with. Performance issues really only occur in S/v, so that's not a switch problem. I have a Oled switch, so I can't relate that much to performance issues or glitches, only fps drops or crashes, which did occur in Zelda totk too for example. I can get where the critique for the games comes from, but I still think that most of it is unnecessary, because in the end, it's still a kids game, so it doesn't need good graphics like God of war or something like that.

@@GoldenLeafsMovies this is the pokemon release cycle that has been happening since 2005, ironically, with the original Diamond and Pearl release. It goes like this: People dislike and trash the new game released, say the older ones were incredible, years pass and then they warm up to the game now that it is old. The exception is probably HG\SS.

12:10 Almost recreated my first Shining Pearl character *exactly.* Blonde hair starting appearance with Overalls. I went with an all Eeveelution team, with Eevee as my lead. I'd say that's the most I embarrassed Cynthia, by using a Baton Pass Eevee to sweep her team (on like the third try), but on my recent playthrough I got her on my second try with my Jirachi + Baby/Pre-evo team. My little champ Wynaut Destiny Bond'd her Garchomp when she stupidly used Swords Dance to try to set up a sweep on me and she lost herself the fight. He couldn't take more than a single hit from a powered-up enemy because he's a baby, but boy whenever he survived a hit with a sliver of health, he'd hit them back with a one-hit-KO every time. I loved it.

This was so awesome, can’t believe you just blasted through that game in 24 hours. This whole video was a dang journey. I haven’t wanted to play BDSP at all but literally just hearing that soundtrack revamped had me second guessing…. If I could ask for some advice on streaming though…what would be your beginner tips for someone wanting to stream Pokémon like this (not 24 hours, just to play in general😂) for the first time? I’ve always wanted to but have thought it pretty daunting or discouraging trying to get a fan base or something like that too, to watch. Thanks in advance! 😄
