@@hioman I think it'd be more helpful if you told him what TO do, rather than what NOT TO do. Think of it like this, if you asked someone for directions to the store, and all they told you was "DON'T turn right at the first intersection", would you feel sufficiently helped? RK, I would do some independent research on the topic of fonts, but generally you want to use rather plain-looking fonts (exceptions exist, though). Whatever you use, you also want to give said text a black border so that whatever background it's up against, it pops out. Generally you want to use white text as well, but that's a more contextual thing. The main objective is that the prospective viewer can actually READ the text in the thumbnail.

From what I understand the reason why they can't have a checkpoint right before the randomized room is because randomness in Mario Maker 2 is determined by player inputs, meaning that having a checkpoint right before that would leave the seed almost the exact same every time because of the smaller number of inputs and how similar they are each time.

But when you get RNG on the upper or lower path, I would go back in the door and reset to the upper if needed. Made the level easier getting familiar with that one path!
