Here's a tip: Finding a Jumpluff or Bellossom in the overworld would be a big help since they are friendly and can cut large trees since they are fully evolved

If you're breeding for a shiny, get a dark type, they have an overworld move that allows you to battle eggs and that will let you see if it will be shiny

The man thing stopping me from trying this game is the style. In most cases I don't mind the gen 2 style but the flashing white is just too much. If it was at least more of a fade instead of a flash it'd be so much easier on the eyes.
