Today, I went to school and jerry was our guest speaker. Amazing story and message. Such an amazing guy. Inspiring story

Shane, why did you interrupt the story about him finding the baby? That was such an extraordinary tale to listen to and you stopped him mid-story. Otherwise brilliant interview

Great interview. Jerry’s story shows that even when bad things happen to you, you DECIDE how to react to it. You can let it defeat you OR you can turn the experience into something positive, like Jerry has done with the cycling and charity work. Very inspiring story. God bless.

Unbelievable story! Hats off to Jerry, a true American hero!

Try the flight crew of united 232 on for size. Al Haynes, Bill Records, Dudley Dvorak, and the off-duty pilot Denny Fitch worked together to land an unflyable plane. The plane was literally unflyable, it had zero hydraulic controls. The fact that 200 people survived is attributed to the skills of the crew, there was no other crew in the simulator that could manage to save anyone- everyone died.

The sad part of baby Sabrina is that she died at age 19 in July 2008. It’s reported as suicide.

Ahhhh Man. That makes me sad. He did an interview in the 90’s and at that point Jerry had no idea who the baby was. Looks like he found out and now I see why they didn’t talk much about it here.

Yikes. 45 minutes waiting to crash. Talk about horrific. I noticed every survivor interview they never talk about the dead bodies around them. Ever.

He talked about how he had to step over bodies in the cornfield when he was walking away from the crash.

It was supposed to be unsurvivable, losing all 3 hydraulic systems was supposed to be impossible 1 billion-1, the fact they made it to the runway is a feat in itself. RIP to all those that didn't make it

These kind of stories I want to hear. These are the heroes that should be praised. Not the fcking Andes cannibals that decided to feast off of corpses for 3 months until no more corpses available that they had to force themselves to seek help.

The baby survived and so did her family. I seen an interview of the father mentioning another survivor picking her up.

She survived, but, at age 19, committed suicide, unfortunately.

The interviewer interrupted too much!
@mikeletaurus47282 жыл бұрын
Like all good interviewers, he only "interrupted" to ask perfectly reasonable questions that listeners would be interested to have answered. An interviewer who just sits there silently isn't really an interviewer.

I'm sure the families appreciate this guy saying he survived because "the Lord had a plan for him". A plan that involved killing children in a plane crash, so he could go on to talk about it. Get over yourself.
