I just heard your story about your father who was able to tame wild horses (and the rest of the story, which was sad). Like many other people, my childhood was not perfect. I had a father who was extremely difficult at times. He was not physical with us but his behavior gave us a life filled with dread, disappointment and criticism. Thank you for sharing that story and this one. I still freak out if I swallow a small chicken or fish bone, imagining it lodging in my throat and causing my death.
