I’m sure you’ve already figured this out but the MOT fail for the headlamp aim is referring to the level sensors on the front suspension being broken, not a fault with the headlamps themselves.

The level sensor is easy to replace also the number plate. That is usual for VW and Audi. The level sensor is the plastic part on the rear axle. Bearings are easy. All the cosmetics you can find on eBay. The fuel cap is not the actual cap but the fuel door. There is a switch.

Fuel cap warning takes a few minutes to reset, if you leave the car running for 5 minutes it should go out, if it doesn't then the cap might be cracked, replace the cap and you should be good

Gotta be honest... looking at the Scirocco condition and all the work and probably abuse it got, not really sure it was an upgrade. For a future sell or swap reliability is important. But hey, easy stuff is not a challenge... and that's what people want to see. Good luck. Cheers.

Has a Vw scirocco owner I'm excited for this one, also looks like a easy fix, fuel cap I think it needs a new one normally it locks and urs was turning a bit also doesn't look stock and fuel door new for sure

Hi mate the bulb on the cluster is because the rear reg bulbs are broken or fuse and probably the headlight as well but basically you have bulbs out?

That gen of TFSI is notorious for a change stretch and oil burning away from the piston rings. Get both of those things checked before moving it on 👍🏽

When you do the wheel bearings make sure you have a very long breaker bar 190nm +180⁰....they are super tight

Love the car. Got a mk7 steering wheel if you want it? Not dsg but I'm sure you could modify it. You'll just need the airbag and buttons with trim. But it's free 😅

Make sure you have an air chisel handy when doing the wheel bearings, can be a nightmare to get a wheel bearing out of an oxidised aluminium hub 🤦🏼‍♂️ best bet for a driveway job is to probably get a second hand hub with a bearing already on it

Proud owner of a DSG scirocco as well. Best thing you can do is not fall in love with it and sell it asap😂 spent about 8k on mine in past 2 years, DSG clutches cost me 1.6k, rest has been on maintenance and engine light comes on every 2 weeks😂😂
