No way. The battery probably will not long. 15-20 minutes? Even if the battery could provide 1 hour (which unlikely), for me its not enough.

Takes a bit of time to get used to. But once you do, it is very fun to ride. I have used a hoverboard for years, there is a learning curve when it comes to using two separate skate. They are bit on the heavy side, the straps make it really easy to carry.

I'm not a mechanical engineer, but the if gyroscope does it's job then it should be impossible for the user to fall while the skates are moving (Given the user has at least moderate practice). Although, it seems as if these wheels don't allow the user to tilt which is a massive hindrance. If someone could match the design of an electric unicycle, but compacted into skates, that would be something i would buy.

I owned and sold them. The surface has to be almost perfectly smooth so they're impractical. Also, I lost control and one went at high speed toward a parked car. The other toward a man. I ran to catch them. I would suggest learning to ride an electric unicycle and considering the Gotway mten3, as it too is electric and small but practical and safer.

Segway did a good job trying to bring out a product thats never been done before. I personaly think there is room for improvements. The drift 1 should be able to disengage automaticaly once nobody is standing on it (optionaly if no one agrees). This will eneble the practicality to easly pic them up and stop running into things at a stop and on slopy ground. Secondly removable battries this will enble us to travel easly by air. It should come with a conecting rods so one can ride like hoverboards.

Eh useless, I’m a fan of this tech but actual roller skates are only cool because of the physical engagement it requires to get moving. This totally defeats the purpose. Much rather have a uni wheel or a board rather than skates.

a board like the one wheel is better or even an E-unicycle, they are safer because of bigger wheels and not susceptible to surface hazards but it depends on the use case, most people just get them for fun like "hoverboards" vs most other devices are meant to be actual tranportation. these electric skates go about twice avg walking speed and can even edge out running speed, so it would certainly be a niche below having a bicycle
