I moved from Polar Vantage V2 to Coros Pace 3. There are still few bits i consider Polar better (Sparkfit or the excellent nutrition split after a run) however Coros is general an excellent choice. What I love about Coros is how they keep adding features and support old models while Polar is simply a launch and forget company and Garmin uses new features to push customers to buy the new models.

Great Video! But I feel as though you had an older Garmin model before you swichted to Coros. My Forerunner 265 has pretty much all the same Features you mention, and has some other conveniences, therefore I´d say Garmin is at least as good as Coros in my opinion. But after checking the price I am quite impressed, because especially for the price it seems like a great option!

Finally switched from Coros (Pace 2 for 4 years) to a Garmin Instinct 2. People don't realize just how useful it is to have such a visible and functional screen. Wow. I have to squint and stare at the Pace 2 in comparison. I thought the black and white Instinct screen might be a bummer, but no, it is a game changer; I truly love it. It's simple, yet the hardware of the watch is pretty damn good. Also, I purchased and returned a Pace 3 before finally trying the Garmin. The Pace 3 had an absolute joke of a HR sensor. I get it, they're "inherently inaccurate" sometimes, but I got great data from my Pace 2 for years, confirmed with a H10 chest strap. The Pace 3 was almost always locked onto my cadence (giving extremely high HR readings) even during easy, flat runs... and always worn as snug as it could be, even switching out to a Apex Pro 2 strap, often worn inside of wrist, trying both sides. what more can I say. that was terrible and I'm not willing to buy the external arm strap when Coros explicitly tells me the HR sensor on the Pace 3 is "improved"... BS... anyways... Garmin Instinct 2 is wonderful. Bought the thing on sale from a place Eminem would have shopped back in the day (walls on the world) but online, plus $45 for 4 years of protection. needless to say I won't prop 'em up yet but sure wasn't Amazon. I haven't even connected the H10 because optical readings are plenty good SO FAR...probably around 200 miles off the top of my head. Honestly, I don't think I'll go back to Coros for a bit, but I do think I'll keep tabs on other options in about 4-5 years. Wouldn't mind if it lasts a little longer.

I really love the display on a Garmin 🙌🏻 that’s awesome to hear I had actually forgotten about the HR playing up on my at times, because I’ve been wearing the HR monitor so often. But that definitely was happening to me too.
@davidbraswell14816 ай бұрын
if you had a chest strap why would you care if the Pace 3 had a good hr monitor or not?? I always use a chest strap I never use the optical on a watch. lol I would def. use it with your Instinct the only Garmin hr monitor that is truly good and don't lag is the hr strap by Garmin, I have the Epix pro g2 51mm and I have to use a h10 chest strap with it because of the hr lag on the optical hr monitor on the watch hell even AWU has a better hr than Garmin their GPS is better also, but I do love my new Epix pro it just makes a statement, everywhere I go someone always asks about it.

@@DaveTheRunneragreed. I briefly owned the Garmin 265s and I just struggled to see why it was worth nearly double the price. The only benefits I found were the ability to edit reps for workouts after completion and the superior screen. Been using Coros Pace 3 & Garming FR 265 simultaneously for the last 4months now Coros for running along with the Pod is the complete package The Sleep Tracking on FR is much more accurate in the sense that it can give input on the quality. Did not find that on Pace 3. I don't think the Recovery Time reacts to the sleep quality for Pace 3 HR is more receptive on FR than Pace 3
