Ive had MintMobile for a few months now and I have not noticed a difference in service from my old carrier (ATT). The only difference so far is the price. $45 for the first three month (now $45 for the first six month with 3 month credit). I was given a $15 credit towards renewal so my next 12 months will be $165 and with every referral i get another $15 credit towards my bill. The other carriers are not worth the extra money you pay. They offer you a phone just to hook you into a contract. With the money you save you can buy a phone when needed and without another contract. Not having that bill every month is really nice.

Great video! I’ve been using Mint Mobile since 2017, and I am extremely happy with it. I currently have the 8GB 12 month plan and essentially pay $20 per month. @@hieuniverse I'm definitely switching over and they have a special going on right now where are you paid 3 months and you get 3 months free and it has to be done before I believe the 2nd of January! This is for all new activations. That's crazy cheap! Within those three or six months one would know if they want to keep the service or not indefinitely so they can lock in for the year that $15 a month afterwards. I'm currently in have just recently this month switched from Verizon paying $45 a month after taxes to paying $20 and change per month for the same exact plan. Unlimited talk and text and 2 GB of data but there's the issue with the sending and receiving of photos to the phone numbers. Mint mobile gives 3 gigabytes of data and I've never come close to 2 gigabytes of usage with Verizon. To me this is a no-brainer. Thanks for the reply.

wasnt a sales pitch- was giving you info that MINT doesn't ESPECIALLY about the misleading REAL cost of the service. it is NEVER 15$/month after the 'hook' of the first 3 months. MINT makes users pay a 'recovery fee' to pay them for their admin costs and you CANNOT find out this actual out of pocket cost until it's time to get more service. not included: MINT does not accurately keep track of your data usage and can make you pay their updata to keep using the service. MINT loses text messages and phone calls.

I will have to rely on my self instead of relying on a big company to keep my info safe and not abuse it. Again the video was very helpful ty.

I did a short trial then I purchased an annual plan which is a huge savings.I'm on an iPhone 12 mini and the voice, text, and data have all worked great while at home, in stores, on dog walks... They have a trial SIM card, auto renewal, visual voicemail, WiFi calling, ability to purchase more data if needed, service text message notifications, an app which shows remaining data, and ability to manage other numbers... I'm very happy with the switch. I was happy with my previous carrier, but this one saves me more money and I only have to pay once a year which is nice.

Yes, agreed. I put my son on Mint Mobile a few years ago, so I have gone through a few renewals and I think it's been spectacular. The price is so much lower than any other company that was an option and I had no need to unlimited data. The only thing I could see as an issue is that I can't track my teen's calls and texts from the carrier. There are products like Bark that can do this though. All these years I crazily kept paying my $71/month AT&T plan on my phone and I had to have unlimited data that I didn't need. Thankfully I came to my senses. I paid for the whole year what I was paying for in less than 3 months.

I love paying only $15 a month, but I rarely use data, for me it's mostly just a phone so it's a great deal. I was with Virgin Mobile, and I got unlimited t&t but less data and I had to pay $25 a month, I like $15 much more. Plus I paid for 3 months, and they gave me another 3 months for free. At that point in order to keep the $15 rate you have to purchase a years worth of service up front, which again was great, less to worry about every month. So now it's 3/10/21 and I'm paid in full through 5/10/22, just the way I like it, cause I hate monthly bills.

Totally incompetent Tech Support and super inefficient Customer Service. Their "specialist" screwed up my porting in and then it took me literally 8 hours of my time on the phone with them, over 2 full weeks without cell service, to shepherd them thru the fix. Their whole system is ineffective. Everytime I called them (like 15 times) it took them 20-25 mins to answer the phone + another 30-45 mins to transfer me to transfer me to a more competent Supervisor. One day, I literally spend 3 solid hours on the phone with them just trying to track a new SIM card that was late arriving, only to find they accidentally never sent it. Honest to God. Now on Tello and it's a totally different experience. Took me literally 15 minutes to port myself in and another 15 mins to port in my number. When I did make a mistake, their Customer Service picked up after 2 rings and was super helpful in troubleshooting my issue and resolving it. Their system is infinitely more functional. And they're just as cheap, as Mint is now raising its prices after selling out to T-Mobile.

My friend is using Mint but it’s very easy to burn through 35GB since Mint is his primary ISP as he doesn’t have WiFi at home. He’s considering switching to Visible. For $40 truly unlimited data with tethering is a great deal. The price drops to $25 with Party Pay.

@@lyriclanguages3780 problem is that with LTE and 5G it's not that hard to burn through 35GB of that. Especially if it includes 4K/HD videos. I don't know why someone would care about 4K or even 1080p on their phones but when they do it an hour long show will easily burn through 3 to 4 gigs.

Let's just be 100% clear; Mint was awesome for doing that, but they are lying to you about unlimited data... It is unlimited insanely slow data once your respectably fast high-speed data reaches 35gb's, but that unlimited slow data is so painfully slow, that you might even have trouble checking your email and anything else, plan on taking a long nap before it finishes loading!!! P.S. I have had Mint on the slow, >35gb, and had trouble opening up the google main page and even email would often be difficult, with GPS maps not even working while driving reliably, it literally is almost 100% useless.

Thanks for the review/feedback... I have been thinking about switching, so that's why I am watching your video (thumbs up, by the way).... I will assume straight away that expecting the same service and quality of a big carrier when you're paying $15/$20 per month should be dismissed. Call quality being equal or similar is great, but I suppose data is the real name of the game. Besides, I hardly make phone calls anymore. I honestly can't even remember the last phone call I had...My dentist, maybe??? Anyway, data is where it's at and if Deadpool can at least keep up, it's worth considering. The thing for me is that I've been with Verizon since 2002 and I have never been dissatisfied with the service. It's a huge network, there have been no issues and my bill is extremely reasonable. Food for thought, my friend.... I appreciate the insight.

I took my lg g6 from sprint over too mint just started year 2 few days ago. The thing I miss most is I no longer have visual voicemail and I sometimes get delayed text which seems to be a common issue with my phone . I have a new phone on the way I just bought on amazon so Im hoping the delayed text thing stops. Its mainly an issue like when you login to say a bank acct. and they want to send a text to make sure its you well they usually give you like 10 minutes or the code is no longer valid. A workaround I found is I can just sent a text to anyone and that will trigger it to immediately send me any texts that were being delayed. I did contact mint on the issue and they offered no resolution. I have a feeling that maybe something about that sprint phone wasnt fully compatible even though the mint website said it was.

The financing thing might be an issue for most people, but the one thing I like about the Apple Card is it not only allows you to finance iPhones with 0 interest, but other apple products as well. For Android users i’d recommend opening a credit card with a 0 intro APR bonus, there are plenty of options beyond that but those cost interest. Definitely thinking of going with Mint because I honestly don’t use all the features that come with T-Mobile, but I do like that T-Mobile is the cheapest big brand/priority network.

I've been a Mint Mobile customer for around four years now, and I've never really had any problems with the service. My work requires me to travel and work on sight at different locations, I would say that out of the ten different locations that I work on average, I've only had one instance where I've lost service. Then again, I live in California, so maybe that has something to do with it. However, I will say that there will also be instances where I have great service in mountain areas, while my husband who uses Verizon would always lose service when he's in the mountains. Regardless, the only real issues I've had is me reaching my data usage limits and so on, and me not being able to use my data during certain times of the night. However, I enjoy Mint Mobile because it fits my needs, and the service has never truly failed me, plus you really can't beat the price. Fun Fact: Ryan Reynolds will also mail out postcards during the Holiday season, and they're always such a treat.

Here in Finland, I get unlimited text, unlimited data (at ~150 Mbps) & unlimited calls at 19,95€ a month, which is roughly twenty bucks. Finland is a very competitive market with three major carriers. There used to be more but they were all bought out by the said three. Still, the competition is strong. A great law that we have is that locking phones to a single carrier is now illegal, so companies sell unlocked phones. The Mint equivalent of Finland offers worse pricing than the major carrier I'm using. The great thing here is that you can get 12 months at 20€ a month after which the price increases, but you can then pretend that your switching carriers to get the mobile operator to lower the price. I went from 20€ a month, completely happy with the carrier but not with increased cost to 18€ a month for two years without a contract. 2 years of discount but not locking.

Mint mobile isn't supposed to have all the huge features that the major carriers have. This carrier is focused on saving money with the buy in bulk plans, giving the best performance on the T-Mobile, they focus on letting people use their own phones even though they offer phones to buy, but there's no reason to upgrade a phone if you're not in a contract because the only time you would need to "upgrade" in your context is in a contract where you need financing through the major carrier, where mint doesn't require financing through a contract plan since that's not how they operate. You pay for what you get. You pay for the plan, service that you get, the honesty they give out and if you choose to buy a phone, it's the full price. It doesn't have all the perks the major carriers have because it's a digital only side MVNO which in a good light uses T-Mobile's full service performance. They don't need to offer all the major perks on the side of all the huge focal points that they already offer people which is what people who want to save money usually need. I've been using mint for the past few months and it's one of the best service providers I've ever been with. I recommend it for anyone who just needs service at a good price because it's going to offer everything like good customer service, hotspot and a huge amount of phone support on the network. It's good for most people and keep in mind when I say most people who just need service that gets the job done at a reasonable price with no contracts, no hidden fees or any major struggle that comes with the major contract carriers.

@donnie4645
@donnie4645 4 жыл бұрын
@@evertonsway that's the thing about them, they improve as time goes on. Over time since the past 4+ years they they stated, their customer support has improved over time, the data performance and speed has improved over time, they have added more and more new plans over time and optimised them as well as recently added an unlimited plan and much more. They are doing great at keeping up with upkeeping their good service for their customers and meeting and in some cases exceeding the expectations you'd get with a major contract carrier plan. Free hotspot, cheap add on data, simple to use app with support, management and plan changing and everything else you would need and more which is always improving. Here's another good part, as T-Mobile improves, so does your mint overall service which is because mint uses the full performance of the major carrier unlike other side MVNO's like other small carriers which don't hold up with good service quality and supper. So to answer your question, yes, they are always improving, adding and getting better overtime. It may not be a major carrier, but it doesn't disappoint.

35 gigs of data is enough for me. I turn off all auto updates and update when using WiFi. Unless your one of those type of people who buy $1000+ phones every six months. You can buy decent phones off of eBay, Amazon, B&H Photo etc.

I'm fine with the 3GB plan as all I'm doing is messaging people and browsing the web, I just download video and shows to watch off wifi. So far I love mint mobile and never switching back

Those auto updates data are nothing compared to video streaming. I never switch on WiFi the entire month. I do everything over cellular and that includes app updates, Android update etc. My max data usage is still 20GB (this includes video streaming too). My friend uses an average of 50GB (on t-mobile) streaming 1440p videos. He also never turns on his WiFi.

I don't think we needed the "Unlimited" option, since we're at home with WiFi almost 24/7, but my husband wanted it. And even with that most expensive tier, we'll be saving $40/month. 👍

I feel the same, I got the unlimited and kinda wish I had gotten the 15gb option

I've been a Mint Mobile customer for over a year, and I'm quite pleased with it. I have a 6 month payment plan with 4 Gigs of data a month, because I'm a cheap bastard who doesn't spend his days watching cat videos on KZbin. Of course, when I was your age, we had rotary phones where we actually stored phone numbers.......in our heads. Seems to be a great service for cheap old bastard like me. You young folks are spoiled. Grow a pair.

so i want to start paying for my own plan since i’ve been on my family’s for a while now. i think it’s time for me to start doing things on my own, but i’m pretty clueless when it comes to this stuff. i’ve been reading lots of sites and watching videos about phone plans, but i’m scared of having to pay too much at the end of the day. i’m currently on t-mobile, but it’s too much for me. would mint be the best option? i’ve been seeing pretty good reviews but also some bad ones too, so i’m hesitant

Mint is a good starter plan, but not only that it's a good plan if you want to save a ton of money. I don't pay for my service anymore due to referrals which I am super happy about but at the same time the service has a lot of options like hotspot, tiers of data and flexible plan prices.

I’m young and broke, and I been using Mint for 7 months. It’s pretty reliable in my opinion. Compare to Verizon, they made me pay 120$ a month and put me in 600$ in debt. Don’t ever go into contracts if you don’t know what you’re doing 😂; trust me.

If your share of the family plan with T mobile is about the same $ per month, you should stay on the family plan and just contribute $ to the family bill.

Switched to Mint from AT&T 3 years ago, I'm pretty low maintenence when it comes to my cell phone. I just need it for talk, text and internet. I have the option for hotspot which is nice. I've had zero problems with them i pay for the entire year and keep it moving.

I just switched last week with the 3 month plan, and guess what, now they offer 3 free months free. GRRR Anyway, I was with AT&T and had 5G, but I only have 4G with Mint.

Yeah that’s the thing that usually frustrates me...they constantly run specials so you gotta get it when it’s really good but I believe it mirrors for T-Mobile’s 5G coverage so their might be slight differences

One of the secrets of the mobile carriers is that they all use each others networks, and reducing the priority of another carriers customers may result in thier customers having thier priorities reduced. This effectively means that they will be reluctant to reduce priority. All mint needs is a tower in an area that blocks the other carriers from placing towers. Of course, do you really want to risk reducing the priority of ryans customers, a guy who would have no problem outting your company?
