When JD said he was going to court because he wanted to be a foster parent, I cried. He's amazing!!! I'm so glad court went well for him!!

His story is so... I don't even know a word to describe it in this moment. But what his mom said was heartbreaking. I understand that she was from a different lifestyle. JW's are very blunt and clear cut when it cones to the LGBTQ community, but that killed me. I have a son. I am really thankful that I never had that way if thinking in any part of my life because I could never fathom saying that to my son, who is 3. This man is inspiring. Very strong. I hope nothing but love and happiness for the rest of his life. ❤️

So interesting to hear him talk about prison like "graduating". Never crossed my mind that it might be a rite of passage-but it makes sense. Best of luck to JD-hope we get a follow up on this amazing human ❤

I’ve heard so many people say if someone goes to the streets or gets into drugs an alcohol that “ they choose that life for themselves “ but I come back with “ what drove them there?” I’ve been an alcoholic since I was 14 , 26 now . Was on the streets , had drug issues and especially alcohol as well all through those years . Went to rehab and I found out what A.A was all about and what he said in the video about the program is spot on . They’re a family to me ! Constantly supportive even if you fall , no judgement and endless love . It all starts when you’re young … you could have so many different scenarios in how you are raised so if you see people around you struggling don’t be so quick to judge . Learn their story don’t make a snap judgement. Give kind and reassuring feedback. Everyone has a story we all just go about it in our own timeline .

This man is the definition of resilience. The life he created for himself today considering the upbringing he had is nothing short of spectacular. I wanted to hug him when he talked about his mother's reaction when he came out. It broke my heart.

I know, JD's father seem like he was a cool & kind man, probably would accepted him being gay. Sorry, I'm like you, have no respect for his mother. I don't care if your child is gay or not, you don't wish ill will on your own damn children! What a POS this woman was. Mark my word though, she going to need her son JD at some point in her life. If I was JD, I'll be cold AF to her feelings for what she said to me back then. But knowing the good man that JD is, he'll be there for his mother.
