I don't have as many durian but I am collecting some nice grafted varieties who sang king, cheney, teka, blackthorne, rainbow, ioi, Golden phoenix, mountain, number 99, gravois and I also have a couple Champa deck no jackfruit yet

cempedak seeds are edible boiled or roasted. In Malaysia cempedaks are generally eaten deep fried in a tempura batter. Absolutely delicious. Cempedaks can be way sweeter than jackfruits if the variety is good. But many people dont like the soft texture, hence the deepfrying. The best cempedaks are deep orange fleshed and extremely fragrant. Try varieties like cempedak madu CH33, Cempedak Champion, Cempedak seedless CH35.

Here's a durian inside information Bill Whitman's son has been down here for 50 years surfing and only half an hour from me there putting in a about 80 acre durian farm commercial style for export about 6 years old now maybe starts to produce in the next 5 or 6 years 40 hectares of durian professionally planted by the Whitman's Chris Whitman and Paul Whitman the son and grandson of the famous Bill Whitman so you guys can expect a new source of Costa Rican grown durian being exported to Florida in at least the next 10 years

Cempedek trees are also softer than jackfruits , in asian almost all commercial cempedek uses jackfruit rootstock

Funny how fruit in areas where orang utan live or used to live are massive and smell very funky... Artocarpus, Durio, Mangifera etc. Other species of the same genera outside orang utang range are much smaller and not so pungent...
