People who spend $4000 on a dog or cat from a pet store are just insane. You can find mixed breeds and purebred dogs and cats at local shelters and save a life!

Shelters have exact requirements that i *can’t* reach, so i find dogs and cats on street in my country......

I paid fifteen dollars for my Heinz-57 medium hair shelter kitty, thank you very much, and they waived the holding fee. She ain't got no fancy pedigree, and she sure ain't hypoallergenic, but you can't put a price tag on all the kindness and love that ordinary old blue tabby cat has lavished on me. London suits me fine. Four grand, my hiney!

You can go to any community animal control facility and adopt a pet for nothing more than the registration and immunization fees. Anyone willing to pay these exuberant prices is nuts.

Wait! I want to sit down with the women, one who financed a $4000 and the other a $3500 dog. A student financed an expensive dog yet complaining of thousands in vet fees. The dogs will be dead before they pay off the loan. 😂😂😭

I got my Chihuahua, Ms. Polly Pocket for $90. She came with vaccinations, she was spayed, and already trained. She's my first dog and she is everything that I ever dreamed a dog could be (I wasn't allowed to have a dog when I was younger because my parents hated dogs). The only vet bill I paid (besides an update on her shots and annual teeth cleaning) was $150 for when she got stung by a bee and her hind leg swelled up. Hearing all these people talk about paying thousands for their baby, makes wonder how their pet parenting experience is going.

I got my two pure bred Cavalier King Charles from a breeder here in Ireland one was €300, the other was €350. Puppy Mills or as we call them over here Puppy Farms are banned. Paying thousands of dollars for a pet is ridiculous.

I got one cat from a hunting club for free, got another one from under an abandoned house, for free. I forested a few stray and feral kittens and adopted them out for free. I also could've taken a free bangel cat home for free, if I had a place to put it, it was caught and released by local humane society, but it was friendly

The customers are the problem too. Going to a pet store where all of the puppies are prob bred in a puppy mill. Paying ridiculous prices for a certain breed instead of rescuing.

NEVER buy from a pet store. They are from puppy mills, and why pay from a breeder? You can get perfectly good puppies and dogs from a breed specific rescue, why do you think there are rescues anyway?

That insane to pay that much and more insane that people expect a designer custom puppy in the first place. There are so many dogs in recuse centers that need a home, even puppies. Adopt don’t buy at pet stores as pretty much supporting the pet trade at that point with these ridiculous prices, as crap breeders that only care about money will cross breed to meet demand and keep charging even more insane prices. Definitely don’t expect a designer dog with these screw up fancy name, as a living animal, not a object. .

All our cats were free! They either came to us or were given to us! No need to waste money on an ill puppy mill pet!
