An interesting watch indeed. First time seeing a tray that actually came out with a push of a button and flipped out like that as a tray for eating or working. I was amazed. Very fancy. I had no idea of the differences between the two classes. It was unfortunate about the bad weather but I'm pretty sure you still had a good time.

Unfortunately CLE airport does not have an Admirals Club. I would have preferred that over The Club that they offer through Priority Pass.

I'm flying on this particular plane from Dallas to Chicago O'Hare and will be sitting in first class. Kind of disappointed that each seat does not have its own TV screen and that you have to bring your own device to be able to watch media. How is the Wi-Fi connection on there?

I’m not a fan of the no TV screen either but the wifi connection was good enough to stream. Keep in mind It’s not included with a first class ticket (small wifi fee) which sucks but at least the live entertainment is free through the AA app / browser when using your personal device.

Service on a 737 is not the same as a 777/787. You have to base it on the plane, not just fare name. 737 domestic US is First, International is Business. 777/87 are Flagship and completely different offering First AND Business on the same plane.

Hi there, I have not experienced business class on the Max 8 but it should be similar to the 737-800 in terms of what you’re getting (food, service) Obviously the planes will be slightly newer being that it’s the Max8. I do know that Max 8s also don’t have a device holder on the back of the seat, instead the tray table has a device holder.

I have never flown business or first class ever in my life. Do you think that the upgrade is worth it for an single average income person? There are times when I curse the space they give you in economy and wish for at least business. Nice review btw!

Thank you!! If you have money to spend and the deal is right, I would recommend it. I would base it off on the $100 per hour rule. If its a lot more especially for a short flight, probably not worth it.

I would say it’s worth it for mid to long range routes at least. American Airlines economy isn’t the greatest so i’d prefer first/business any day.

The service you get on a 787 or A350 is a whole another league. If you don’t mind flying to New York you can fly aero-Mexico 787 to most places in Mexico direct and it’s lie flat seats.

@@LedKodMy best experience with lie flat product so far has been United 787-10 ORD-HNL I scored a one way for $1300 First Class that included the quick jump from CLE. Also from CLE it’s easy to fly to JFK to Use JetBlue Mint on A321 which is a decent product I flew JFK-LAS and SEA-BOS. The best by far is Emirates A380, Qatar Qsuites and Singapore Airlines. For those airlines I will use my Amex Points. I’m big in the credit card game.

Boeing 737-800 of American Airlines don't have Business 😲 They have First, Main Cabin Extra, and Main Cabin 👌 You were probably sat in First for both flights, and Business means Main Cabin Extra 😊

It was the first class cabin but it was marketed as Business being that it was an international flight when booking the ticket. First flight was marketed as First Class.

Dark khaki shorts, it’s what i’m comfortable in, especially going to a very hot climate to PVR. I see no issue with it and have seen worse in FC cabins. I’m not looking to dress to impress. Just want to be comfortable especially traveling to a hot climate country in the summer.

Domestic first class is a far different product for the routes it’s offered. The flights never exceed a few hours so I don’t know why you’re so pressed. It’s classified as first class because that’s what it is. Premium economy is different in that the seats are the same as economy just extra legroom and early boarding.

It can definitely be a hit or a miss. The food tasted good but it really just depends what you order haha. There’s some stuff in the menu that does not taste good. Short rib is usually the safer choice majority of the time.
