I think it would be neat if you photocopied a page from the books you didn't want to draw in, like the vintage and super expensive one, so that you could still color the illustration without having to ruin the actual book!! although I understand if that's too much work LOL

was thinking the same thing)) in my town's library they have a special machine for scanning old stuff (so you don't need to flatten and likely damage the goods) don't know how common they are, but it could be a great idea to scan it on one of these and leave the copies in free access 😊

I’m so glad I saw your comment! I actually enjoy those types of books more than less detailed ones! I think, because I can’t draw myself, it takes pressure off a bit. I use fine liner colouring pens to colour them in. Much easier than pencils! I even used gel pens once on a canvas mandala!

I don't find that coloring book stressing at all🤔 the page she colored wasn't really that detailed to infuse stress(for people ginding that stressful) as well! Some people don't like details and some like it. Artists usually don't mind it at all. She is more of a youtuber than an artist, so i guess that explains it.

I have that coloring book, and i love it! It's in my top 10 favs, and when I finish weeding out my coloring book collection (i'm trying to reduce a lot lol), that one will still proudly remain. I think i've finished one, maybe 2 images total so far! 😂 But, when I wanna color, I want that crazy chaotic intricate stuff.

That Reverse Coloring Book is a good idea. I've done abstract pieces like that before. Put down some watercolors then go back in and add lines. Tracing the watery shapes and stuff. It's fun.

Please, please scan the vintage colouring book 😍 it would be amazing to see you do that. Scanning it won't do any harm to the paper as it's only exposed to light for a very short time. Like many ither comments you'll get the joy of colouring it, whilst preserveing the original, which I'm rooting for too....little tip, if you store it in tissue paper, use acid free unbuffered. Unbuffered means it isn't shiny on one side ❤

Hullo Rae, I am glad that you are still un-earthing the unusual! I have an idea for you. Scan the pages of the very expensive and very old books and sell the scans or print them out on a laser printer for sale! You could make the cost back and then some! I believe that the older book is prime for this treatment. I believe the copy-write is expired and as long as you don’t claim ownership of the images or creation rights you are ok legally. Thank you for sharing these gems the rest of us will enjoy them through your videos and maybe if you do decide to sell some copies of individual pages? Maybe? Thank You.

You should 100% color in that expensive book. Collector’s item, my @$$! You coloring in it would only add to its value. You’re an art channel: we come here to see you make art, not to see you buy something you don’t use! Although in the case of the really old one, it could be damaged, so I agree with the others who suggest you copy a page and color that. I’m not trying to be complainy, I’m trying be encouraging. I so wanted a reverse colouring book when I first saw them in every second video I watched, but living in a remote area and not being able to shop on line I was so disappointed. Finally got a chance to go to the big city and found a book store that had like 2 to offer. Wasn't going to pay $25 for the cheaper one, so still don't have one. However... made my own pages by daubing random splotches of watercolur paints on a blank piece of art card and have done a few pieces that I'm quite pleased with. 😊
