That first one tho. 🤦🏽♀️ As a person who had to battle with food insecurity in my youth, these wasteful and deliberately disgusting recipes drive me absolutely crazy. That literally could’ve been either a perfectly good tuna casserole or a nice baked mac and cheese that could’ve fed an entire family, but instead she decided to combine the two and create a monstrosity that fed literally no one. Just. Ughh. I can’t.

the preparation destroyed the puff on the "savory cinnamon rolls" but i've made homemade puff before and put in pesto, bacon bits, and parmagiano reggiano and baked it all off and holy shit was it incredible. you REALLY need to chill it in tube form before cutting. that, and honestly the recipe i used had the ingredients for croissant dough with the butter lamination being the full puff method, so there was yeast. left to rise, you really get that fluffy gorgeous bake in the middle with a strong crispy flaky exterior. seriously, worth every second of prep. i've made it multiple times

Hi David, New subscriber, love the vids! Even though this one was put up almost a year ago, I just wanted to share a quick tip with tuna casserole. Try using albacore tuna next time you make it, rather than the usual, cheaper skipjack tuna on the grocery shelves. When I first started making tuna casserole about 10 years ago I'd get so frustrated at how strong the fish flavour was. I tried everything I could think of to lesson the blow but it never worked. Finally I gave up. However, I recently decided to try it again and asked for advice about the flavour on one of my Facebook cooking groups. The advice across the board was to use albacore tuna as it has a MUCH milder flavour to it. So I gave it a shot and OH MY GOD! I had no idea how delicious tuna casserole can be! It's a total game changer 😊

My family's tuna casserole is the bomb. No weird mushroom can be needed. Ingredients: -2 cups Pasta -1 Onion, diced -3 Garlic cloves, minced - 1/2 tablespoon Paprika - Salt and Pepper to taste - 2 tablespoons Tomato Paste -Calda de Pimenta (as much or as little as you want, it is for spice. I add a full tablespoon) -Olive oil for sauteing. -1 cup veggie stock -2 tuna can (Or even better, fresh Tuna or Bonito that has been grilled previously) Step 1: Cook pasta according to instructions Step 2: Put olive oil in a pan and saute the onions until golden. Heat should be on medium. Step 3: Add minced Garlic. Cook for 3 minutes. Step 4: Put tomato paste, paprika, salt, pepper, and veggie stock, but most importantly the Calda de Pimenta. If you can't find one at your local market, check a South European or South American market. Once all mixed, add the tunas. Step 5: Let the mixture start simmering, once it does simmer for around 15 minutes or until the sauce is at medium thick consistency take it off the heat and mix it with your pasta. Step 6: Put it in a casserole dish evenly, and distribute a layer of shredded mozzarella or cheddar or Havarti cheese on top. Bake at 375 for 30 minutes. Step 7: Eat.
