Condensed milk actually helps the ice cream to freeze without becoming icy and crystallized. It’s actually very essential. I think the juice is a bit too much it separates the watermelon pulp. Maybe 😎

Condensed coconut milk works really well as a dairy-free condensed milk! It does have a bit of coconut flavor but I think that would work well with the watermelon.

The "purple flowers" are pansies, and that is the main flower people tend to use for these cookies. You're meant to only make small cookies with small flowers, and be cautious about bake time. You're only meant to use petals from larger flowers. Also, you're meant to put an egg wash on top of the dough to help the flowers stick. There weren't any real directions in that tiktok at all.

I think the seperation is from whisking liquid into the whipped mixture. Folding would make the whip deflate less and not get weird

I've been putting my fruit roll ups in the fridge for years because I prefer them a little crunchy instead of sticky. I've seen the tread of wrapping ice cream in them for a couple years but still haven't gotten around to trying it 🤔

You can so this whipped cream and condensed milk ice cream with anything, its delicious! I tried it with strawberry and banana and it was yummy but bc of the banana it froze quite solid after after a couple of days.

For that watermelon ice cream you might be able to substitute the heavy whipping cream for thick coconut cream to get a similar texture

I tried the fruit rollup and the ice cream a couple years ago. I really liked it. I froze mine. I put it in the fruit roll up and then I immediately for about eight minutes and then I came back and ate it. Delicious!😂❤

My little town has the melon festival and the local dairy/ice cream plant makes watermelon and cantaloupe ice cream. So good!

Happy Birthday Mike🎉 For the ice cream, I've made it successfully a number of times. The ratio is important, I use 600ml of cream to 400g of sweetened condensed milk. You need to whip it more thoroughly to make sure the condensed milk is fully incorporated. And I think the amount of watermelon juice threw the balance off. I have added liquids, mostly alcohol, and never had that happen. I've used Bailey's, Raspberry liqueur and vodka. The most I've added is 1/2 a cup. So maybe try again but adjust the liquid amount🙂

I am pretty sure the thing with those edible flowers is that you are supposed to eat them fresh, using them for decorating stuff and just adding some flower/plant texture with almost no taste. Wilting them by baking/frying probably is what makes them taste this bad, and definitely is why they look mostly nasty afterwards.
