Ripsaw is great. I have a few saws from them. My 2511 I ordered it August 1st. It is now the middle of December. I still have not received. I hope they figure out a faster process. I know their busy, and that's wonderful. It's just to wait almost 16 to 20 weeks. That's a long time God bless everybody.

I don't cut wood for a living but I burn for heat and I've had a few saws but I have to say the 500i is awesome. Not a big fan of Husqvarna because of parts falling off . Had a lot of Sthil products and never had anything fall off. The 500i will hang with my 390xp and possibly surpass it. It's very powerful. I'm thinking maybe next year I'll have ripsaw port my 500i. Have a blessed Christmas

The thing is most of the top handle climbing Saws from echo are nice to use. I know this cause that's all I use since when I started working for a tree company we only used echo top handles . Sure the other brands of top handles are more powerful than the echos but that doesn't matter . I've used the cs341 ,271t, 303t and I've used to old grey 3400 and 3000 . Now the cs 341 is 10 pounds the 271t is around 7 and is my go to light saw its not as light as the 2511 but it has a 27cc engine and I'd rather have more power since 7 pounds already feels light compared to a 10 pound saw . I know most tree guys have a stigma against echos but your really missing out on some good saws that don't even cost half as much as the competitors.

As always great info and video. I was curious I came across a LumberJack competition and saw something I think they called the springboard competition. Basically they make a notch, jam a board into it and then another and jam another board into it and go up a tree that way. Is there any practical use for this and is this a skill set you have?

Way to teach the youngsters how to cut a limb with your lanyard right below it, Bad Form Mate, the youngsters should not be taught this way, teach with Proper Form, with Saftey First, this is a Joke of a way to lead by example,.
