Family always comes first. I found you only a few months ago when looking for a head unit for my older VW and the info i got from watching helped me make my mind up. I ended up getting an Eonon with rear camera and knowing that with the canbus box i didn't need to wire into the rear lights was a god send.

Hi Dave, I like watching your mk6 mods, tips and how-to videos the most and they have helped and inspired me to do the same to my mk6. I don't own a Eonon headunit so I don't watch them videos, which I think is fair enough. The bottom line is to prioritize what gives you the most fulfillment, but I would definitely prioritize family time over anything. You don't need to reply to questions straight away, message whens best for you. Whatever you decide to do, I wish you the best mate.

Just a thought Dave, obviously after you’ve had time to yourself and when you feel like you’re ready to come back if you do choose to come back, not saying you have to but maybe start a tiktok account, making videos on that because tiktok is probably the most used app I’d say and getting views are easy to do, build up your followings on that then you never know where that could take you. Stay strong 💪🏽.

Just bought a VW Mk 6 Golf as my first car and your videos have helped me loads. You were the only person I could find who makes clear and concise videos showing us exactly how to do stuff like installing a reverse camera, which I have now fitted in my Mk 6 thanks to your videos. Keep making videos and eventually it will pay off mate. Subscriber retention compared to video views will always be considerably lower. However, I understand your frustration with everything, especially when you work so much. Whatever your decision, wishing you all the best. Thanks for the help!

Hey Dave, first off i appreciate your content as i was lost and struggling but find your video and it fixed my frustration. You have been the only person on top of the issues and fixes. Truly speaking without your videos and answering my questions i would have returned my unit. I completely understand the work life balance and the sacrifices that have to be made. you know Dave, when I was got my Skoda Yeti I wanted to upgrade my head unit your videos were instrumental in that, and also the reversing camera I had a nightmare connecting to the reversing wire, but you showed me on your video how to connect it to the ANT wire, its still working now so thank you, you could try an monetize your videos to help out, don't get disheartened about your time and video's if you like doing it do it, keep your head up if you don't publish a video for 3 weeks then so be it, you can only publish so much really and like you said they are not for entertainment purposes, you do you thing, keep the channel open, keep your head up and you may change your mind after a few days or weeks, have a look at that video see why you get loads of views, if these videos have changed in any ways and adapt but don't throw it all in.

Thank you. All youtube videos are montised once you have more than 1000 subscribers, so yes a get a little in return. It's all about the analytics, the more subscribers you have the more youtube will recommend your videos. As for sponsorship they don't see the views they only see the subscriber count....I have near 750k views but they mean nothing to companies....I am very lucky that I have Eonon on board but having only VWs limits the units I can review for them.

@@whatsdavedone104 well its not just VW cars its the group, your videos were spot on for my skoda, the facebook groups I am in for my car I have linked your videos a few times when people want to change their head unit, I even put an indepth post on their how to do it but people still ask the same question, I will try to support your channel as much as I can I will share your channel on facebook see if you can get a few more subscribers. I posted on 2 skoda groups hope you get some subscribers from it.

Dave I would hate to see you stop making your videos as they have given me and I'm sure many other a lot of good advice and tips. But I totally get where you're coming from with the "is it worth it" thoughts. Family is your first priority and as others have said, maybe just take a break for a few weeks or months and hopefully come back refreshed. If I could subscribe again to help your figures I gladly would do. I have changed to "All notifications" so I know when or if you do decide to come back, but I wish you the very best in whatever you decide.

Don’t worry about the negative comments on your video, not every video will apply to everyone. That guy saying he’s tired of seeing radio videos, doesn’t have to view it. Not sure why he even felt the need to say that. I follow several channels, big channels, and I don’t watch every video they post, as the content doesn’t pertain to me, so I just keep scrolling. Your videos definitely helped me and others looking for information pertaining to the video. Just keep doing what you’re doing and your channel will grow. It just takes time.

Thank you for your support 👍This isn't just "spaked" by that one comment....but it has added to it. 75% of videos on my channel are around android units, 25% VW. Android unit videos get far more views than VW content. Have 2 strikes from KZbin, on videos I made 3 years ago doesn't help matters😉

Yes Eonon have supplied me with headunits and discount codes for viewer....I have a contract with them for each video I make using their products.
