I was skeptical but as my arthritic fingers started having issues with nail nicks, I came around. Now I always have one with me. Besides accessing nail nicks, I use them to scrape, dig, pry, and of course, lift caps. (That WE has been a big hit at gatherings.)

I’ve never really carried a mini pry bar and for the most part, have found them useless. However, I always carry a SAK on me in some configuration as well as another folder or fixed blade. For the same amount of real estate in the pocket and less money, the SAK has soooo much more to offer. Especially that most come with the larger flathead screwdriver that easily pries anything that I need (a staple?)

Well, I'm a bit late to this...... but after a pocket knife, the tool I carry most is a pry bar. I use mine a lot more than I ever thought I would, as a pry bar, scraper, chisel, etc. I prefer the Maverick Customs pry bars, with a bottle opener. They are just a simple, well-executed design that you hardly know is in your pocket.... and yeah, they're cool. I have them in various lengths, but I think my favored version is probably the 4". I also have that same WE Knives pry bar from the video, and it's pretty good, it's one possible advantage over the Maverick Customs is the nail-puller notch.

I carry my prybar on my work keys which is used it for scraping stuff off the floor (I work in a school). The prybar has replaced my putty knife.

I have used mine for scraping quite a bit too, and its an innocent enough looking tool no one questions it.

I agree with lots of what you said. The only way I'll carry one is if it has more than one tool. I do not mean just adding a bottle opener. I may not use mine everyday but almost. I have always liked carrying pocket jewelry to show off as long as i use it. I do like having the really odd tools just because that's what i like. But yes most of all its just for fun. As you said i like having a kit to grab when i have to leave blades at home

I may not always have one in my pocket, but it will be close by in a bag or in the car. Sometimes you just really need to pry or scrape something.

@CoyoteEDC that's reasonable. Saw one by gratis idk how you spell it but i sure liked the idea of it. It had a better version of the ratcheting bit driver on it. Idk if they are the original designer, though

My guess is that slot on the pdw prybar is for striking ferro rods?
