Arlene’s offer was generous, a 7.75 multiple of gross profit (121 revenue per unit - 91.5 COGS per unit = 29.5 gross profit per unit; x 16,000 units sold = 472,000 lifetime gross profit; / 13 years = approx 36k gross profit per annum). Her offer was 279k (before royalty), which is approx 7.75 x gross profit. 7.75 is a decent enough multiple and it’s even higher if his net profit is lower, as it surely must be.
