They tried to make it seem like the driver saw a kid on the side of the road and ran the kid over. The kid was late and was probably trying to open the door while running and fell and then was run over. I didn't see any intent here.

There doesn't have to be intent, its called negligence. The bus riders were telling them that she was running after the bus. Doesnt matter if she was late to the bus stop, she made in time to be able to chase the bus. Safety first. I can't tell how many times I had to chase the bus because I was a little late, guess what my driver stopped.

And at that point he was supposed to check the mirrors again, I'm sure that's why she didn't think he would keep driving. From my experience in seeing kids run to catch their bus most drivers stop

Its not the driver’s fault. Its loud on that bus whether it’s the engine or the students. That is a 80+ passenger bus. Making that they had to check the clearance then focus on clearing the front in. She came mid turn it seems before hitting then slipping under the door. Instead of pushing blame. Lets teach kids about safety and how to be on time.

Mom, I’m glad your daughter is doing better. From the video shown, I see no wrong doing by the bus driver. If she missed the bus, then she missed her pick up. Turn around and go back home. But running toward a moving bus is not feasible and not that serious.

If you say its because she chased the bus, that is BS, especially when the other riders are telling the driver to stop. A decent bus driver would've stopped when the bus riders tell them a student is running after them.
