Uncle Chael, he never went down? And it was in the 9th round this happened. The ropes can't hold you up, if you're out on your feet. They can't save you from falling. Fury fell into the ropes but on his feet, and was out on his feet. Under Boxing rules, the Referee must call the knockdown. Which the ref correctly did. Fury never went down. Just a heads up. But the knockdown was called in the 9th round, because the ropes saved Fury from falling.

Usyk landed 50 odd power shots to Fury's 25 or so. Usyk landed about 50 more punches total than Fury. Let's not forget that the ref prevented Usyk from knocking him clean out. In no situation at all did Fury win. He was outclassed by the better man.

No Chael... They tried HARD to give the fight to Fury. They wanted hyper-hot Fury vs Joshua. BTW Chael, if the ropes hold you up its a knockdown. Every Boxing fan knows that was a knockdown in the NINTH. Usyk landed more punches in more rounds. CompuBox punch stats were amazing. First time I've seen them dead accurate. I gave Fury the 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th. He was well ahead. Usyk adjusted, picked up the pace, got closer, and threw harder. He landed harder and more accurate 7 -- 12. The correct score was 116-111 with the 2-point knockdown.

Fury was out on his feet in the 9th round. That would have been stopped in any other contest. He threw less punches, landed less power punches. He is a great fighter, but he got pieced up here. But more importantly, this was a fantastic fight. Like....both of these guys were phenomenal.
