Hey @travelwithchris. Great video concept. Your appreciation for the rickshaw drivers and the less fortunate of Bangladesh is great. Just one thing you should know about bengali culture in particular: we don't talk about age (it's bad manners). I don't even know the age of most of my family members. There are many reasons ranging from poor record keeping after the war, college entrance requirements, arranged marriages, and making our elders feel accepted. It's basically part our language, like the difference between usted and tú in Spanish.

its amazing to see you acknowledging the hardship of the rickshaw pullers out there. i have always felt the same about them, imo their profession is one of the most honest professions of all. as inhuman as it might be seen a guy pulling 1 or 2 or more people behind his carriage but it's a traditional transport of Bangladesh, especially all the arts that are put behind and around the rickshaw it is well renowned as rickshaw art. i also try to help these poor fellows whenever i get the chance to give back something to the society, and i appreciate them not begging but going out of their comfort zone and earning money by hard and honest work. May Allah bless us all so that we can make a better place for them in the near future.

The government will provide US$1.5 billion while the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) will fund US$4.6 billion

I love your generosity. Keep up the good work. The first person you rode with, was riding a van that carried goods. He was not meant to take passengers, yet he took you on. I don't think he expected any money at first. He probably just couldn't say no to help you guys. And it was a nice day for him to meet you guys. Rickshaws are indeed the lifeline of Dhaka’s short distance transportation. The rickshaw was one of the first things that I missed when I came to Canada.
