@@Travelwithchris Make sure to Try Kalabuna @ Mezban which is made out of Beef, very tasty. Go see some fancy restaurants and ask for some fish like Boal, Rui, Katla, and Shirmp....Ask the waiters which fish is the best taste-wise, they will walk you through it. You would love the Rui, Boal and Shrimp....they mostly make a curry type, and fried fish can also be found. Not sure you know that there are 401 species of marine fish and 251 species of inland fish in Bangladesh.

Bangladesh has a brief Winter from Dec to Feb. And the evening temperatures can drop to 6 degree celsius. So hot water showers are needed and blankets /quilts for sleeping. And yes Dhaka's over-ground metro has opened recently. 'Borhani' is a savoury yoghurt drink with fresh green chillies, mint, corriander and certain spices, so it is eaten with byriani because helps to digest a fatty or oil based meals. Byrianies in the sub-continent can be made using different methods, so the word, 'Kacchi' is a name referring to the method that the byriani was cooked in.

Recommend to check out the following during your trip in Bangladesh: Dhaka 1) Gulshan- Banani neighborhood- More modern part of Dhaka with great restaurants and shops (Check out Chef's Table foodcourt in Gulshan Centre point) 2) Jamuna Future Park- largest mall in south asia, it also has fun activities like bowling and movie theaters 3) Chef's Table Courtside and Go Karting-- Nice outdoor food place with cuisine from all around the world, they also have Go karting rigth next door 4) International Trade Fair- Purbachal-- There is a trade fair going on in the outskirts of the city, will be interesting content Outside of Dhaka 1) Tea Gardens in Sylhet 2) Cox's Bazar- worlds longest unbroken sandy beach (you can take direct non stop train from Dhaka now)

Also, good to know you enjoyed kacchi biriany, there are few more authentic variations of this Biriyani that can be found in puran dhaka. You should try them. Also if possible, try find some contact and visit a Bangladeshi village as a guest. You will enjoy the authenticity of rural Bangladesh and how friendly people actually are.
