I taught school. I have known girls in the friend’s condition get an abortion pill (however) and take it, then tell her parents she is having a miscarriage. There is no way the ER can tell the difference. If she has to have the surgical kind, tell her to go straight to the ER after and tell them she is having a miscarriage. (She may need to tell to the truth to the nurses and doctors behind closed doors before he/she does a pelvic exam…tell her to explain exactly why…and say she’ll be homeless and maybe even in physical danger should they find out). They can’t tell her parents legally and will cover for her (they do in the South). It may be wise to go to an ER in a town or two over to conveniently be in when she takes the 2nd pill, “for whatever reason you can make work,” so no one will recognize her at the hospital and overhear talk. They will also tell her parents she had a miscarriage (the terms are the same for miscarriage and abortion. They don’t distinguish between the two on medical paperwork. They’ll also likely give her birth control to use. This keeps the parents appeased, she doesn’t have to carry the baby and has a roof over her head until she can get the hell out. The friend can cover and say “We were at the mall…or wherever…when she started cramping and bleeding so I took her to the ER.” Parents will be none the wiser (just make sure to wear hats and perhaps take a car they aren’t familiar with to the clinic in case anyone from the church is protesting. There are also groups in most areas of people who will give rides and help financially too. Call Planned Parenthood. Also, erase all texts and messages from the phone…get a tech savvy person to help you.

I haven't listened to all of Story 1 at this point, but one thing OP doesn't seem to think about is that if daughter, manchild, and baby move in, at least OP can keep an eye on them. Often times clingy over-possessive men end up being emotional and physical abusers. Problem is getting him out when things inevitably go south. If he establishes residency, OP may have to go through legal procedures to evict him. I think it's worth it to keep daughter and baby safe, though.
@laurenjones99248 ай бұрын
I wasn’t to reach through KZbin, Reddit, the Op, the church and just give that 16 year old girl the biggest hug. BUT, if anyone is ever in a similar situation (granted you’re not in Texas), you should always stand by that l poor child and be the helping hand. 1 more thing- for stuff like this, DRs are bound by their hypocritical oath to not discuss with parents if the child wishes not to. However, unlike in NY apparently, a lot of places will require parental cony for a surgical procedure, not the pill.

Your friend is an adult now. She has the legal right to put the child up for adoption and placing terms on who adopts.(for example, no religios nuts.) This poor girl is going to have a child she never wanted forever and the child will be raised by religious extremists.

@skyelindsey6878 ай бұрын
Best advice I ever tell people is don’t go to church. Worship in the safety of your own home. Because if the Christian god really exists I highly doubt he’ll approve of a greedy organization that would rather you give them your last dollar than buy something to eat. And if you’re a Jehovah’s Witness run away as fast as you can before you need a medical procedure.
@angelaa73888 ай бұрын
I'm so confused because if they went to a homeless shelter, their family would likely be separated anyways. Wouldn't he rather have his wife and child in a safe home while he figures out what to do?

OMG..the update on story one, just made my blood run cold. I was in an awful relationship, with physical and mental abuse. We went to a psychoanalyst together ordered by the judge, and I was absolutely honest with EVERYTHING. Later, my ex physically forced me call up the Doc, and retract everything, saying I only said those things to get back at him. Of course the Doc knew is was bs. I'm actually scared OP has been threatened, and redacted what she wrote, because of what he might do., Or it's not her writing this...I feel physically sick. Does anyone know if they are alright???

As a christain, if you force your child to have a kid, you help. Christianity is supposed to be about absolving of flaws, and being a good person. Unfortunately churches have done a loooot to twist and corrupt the original intent.

The age gap alone when they started dating and the not stayed together without breaking up for longer than a year are all huge red. I almost feel like that message was like holding a gun to. I'm kind of a thing like maybe the daughter's husband found the post. And they were going to lose contact with their daughter and future grandchild and their daughter was probably going to be on the streets so they back petaled.
