Our PHILIPPINES Travel Guide ➡️ parttimetravel...
Our first day on Siargao Island and we have fallen in love. This place is so chilled... so friendly. This is our favourite Island so far. We will be exploring the beautiful Island of Siargao for the next few days so please follow along on our journey. Any recommendations appreciated... Thank you Philippines... the Filipino people have been amazing! 🖤
-------------------------------------
Finding a Filipino restaurant was more difficult than we could possibly imagine. Most of the restaurants on Siargao Island are western. We did find a traditional filipino restaurant in the end and it was definitely worth the wait. Sisig, Inasal, Crispy Pata, Taba ng talangka, Pancit Palabok Bulalo, Lechon, Adobo.
-------------------------------------
We were told Magpupungko Rock Pools is a must see if you are visiting Siargao island in the Philippines. So we had to go and see for ourselves. It took about 90 minutes on a scooter. Siargao Island is a big island but the drive is a dream in itself. The views in Siargao from a scooter is a must see in itself. Driving through Siargao Island witnessing the nature and all it's beauty has been one of our favourite experiences here in the Philippines. Again the Filipino people helping us out at every corner.
-------------------------------------
El Nido, Palawan has been the most recommended place to visit in the Philippines for us... so we decided to travel there and see what all the fuss was about. The journey to El Nido took over 16 hours! 2 aeroplanes and a 7 hour mini bus drive through Palawan. The journey was bumpy and extremely uncomfortable. Eleise suffers from travel sickness so she struggled for the whole journey, even with medication. It was a terrible journey. BUT.... we El Nido, Palawan will definitely be worth the trip. And hopefully by the end of travelling Palawan.. we would have done the journey twice, just to experience this beautiful island in the Philippines. Next video will be in El Nido. thank you for watching. 🖤

We are Eleise and Lawrence & Nyh - A young family from the south of England. Like many people the pandemic gave us a shake up! While watching hours of Mark Weins in Thailand - We had our “Ah ha” Moment. We decided we wanted to travel.
Enjoying working for ourselves, we didn’t want to give up our business and decided it was entirely possible for us to do both. So we set about making it our lifestyle to work in the UK for a month, and then travel for a month - month on, month off…. until our little boy Nyh goes to school! We want to inspire people that you don’t have to up-sticks, sell all your belongings and leave behind family to be able to see the world.
Our Philosophy. Work, Travel, Repeat.

The Philippines has turned into somewhat like a bloody united nations destination of sorts for foreigners, Brits, Americans, Russians, other Europeans, South Americans you name it. I mean who wouldn't be captivated by the amount of natural beauty the country has to offer and most of all its people who arguably are probably the friendliest most hospitable lot in all of mankind.❤

There are thousands of European living in Siargao. It was mentioned by the ambassador of France when she visited the island last November. We were seatmates and I only learned she was the ambassador when she was greeted with banner and police escorts upon arrival at the airport.

When it comes to food try barbecue Tuna filipinos they cook the big jaw part of it. I like my tuna medium steak. And they also make Tuna sisig ask the chef or cook. If you guys like fish try their version of ceviche or I think they call kilawen, also try fried eggplant, or fried tomato scrambled egg put some cheese on it, they make their own version of omelet. So on.

A very important tip in the Philippines: do not skimp on travel costs. Especially when it's just a difference of a few thousand pesos (less than a hundred dollars). Get the more expensive options always. They're more expensive for a very good reason: because they're far less stressful. LOL The cheap ones are just for us locals who already know the drill, or for the more adventurous types. This applies for buses, boats, planes, etc.
@ShellzSD

Yea been to ElNido a few times the drive from Puerto Princesa to ElNido isn’t worth it. Take the plane directly to ElNido if you can it will save you 7 hrs of roller coaster bumpy ride and a few heart pounding moments. I remember our driver being so carelessly fast I swear I was praying to all the gods to not die or kill someone on the road. We passed by many school zones with kids on the side too. Mind you that 7 hr drive you cannot relax at all since it is windy and bumpy. I don’t mind a ride like this for an hr but for 7 hrs it is insane.
