14:20 “ damn Daniel” 😂 I say that all the time. That’s hilarious.. It’s also hilarious that you keep saying it’s winter, we still have two weeks till winter officially starts. ! 😅 I understand it should be a lot colder than it is in December in Tokyo, but it’s still fall, silly And that was an epic view of Mt. Fuji. I haven’t seen it that clear in a long time most of the time it’s hiding in the clouds. Also, they do stand on theright in Osaka, and the left in Tokyo I think it’s the left in the rest of Japan actually except Osaka is the only one that they stand on the right.

@ that’s true, living here in Florida sometimes I forget winter even exist. I was at the Magic Kingdom yesterday and it was 76° here. 😆 it’s not until I see it snowing in other part of the USA on the news that I remember that it’s winter time. And I don’t think I’ve ever been to Osaka, I don’t remember that as a child there’s a lot of places my parents went that they didn’t take us obviously. I can’t wait for the cruise videos.

You should visit Nakanoshima... It's pretty at night! Also, JR Osaka station itself is like a theme park and fun to visit. The northern part of Osaka is quite different from the southern part of the city. I love Hankyu Osaka-Umeda station, as well as JR Osaka station... The iconic Hanyku trains take you to Kobe and Kyoto. Kobe has a similar vibe to Yokohama, which is my favorite city in Japan, and I highly recommend it!

We're moving to Osaka in the next year or so and my husband just went home to Japan for a family wedding and then went to Osaka to check it out. I specifically told him not to go to Dotonbori area lol because it's gross, and where did he stay? that's right, where I told him not to go. ROFL! crazy how people who live in a country just take for granted some of the beauty... I would have had my face turned to the window the entire time on the train! be careful walking some of the streets.... Backpacks being worn in the front, gives you a heads-up.

Backpacks on front on the metro in Japan is almost exclusively so they don't accidentally get in the way of others. Japanese are very big on not inconveniencing others. While you could be a victim of theft anywhere, it is much, much less likely in Japan, than say the metros in places like Paris, London or New York.

I can't believe how cheap it is to eat in Japan ... I mean, of course, if you don't go to high-end sushi or Michelin Star places ... The whole thing about women being sexually harassed on the streets in large Japanese cities is definitely horrible. They don't go for the the type that stands out too much. They usually target the type that looks like they wouldn't make a fuss. There are several thread on Reddit where women talk about it... If you Google "Has anyone else had really bad experience as a women traveling in Japan (Tokyo)?" you can read about it.

@@SherryAnnOfTheWest food prices are an interesting one, Sherry Ann. It can really be as expensive as you want, go to fancy places and you’ll pay a lot more than other places. There’s definitely cheap options in Japan, sometimes they’re the most delicious! Thank you for the tip but I don’t want to read about the women’s stories. It must be horrible.

Curious how? "From the very first run of the Tōkaidō Shinkansen on October 1, 1964, until the present day, there has never been a single derailment or collision on the entire full-standard Shinkansen rail network resulting in a passenger fatality." There have been more than a few in China.

If China's high-speed rail is superior, they should procure parts domestically instead of relying on Japanese parts.
@viviann0807Ай бұрын
@@orioriedwd China could not build a high-speed train with its own technology. Kawasaki Heavy Industries and JR East exported a small number of Shinkansen trains to China and had their Shinkansen technology copied. These two companies were later criticized in Japan.
