Amazing and would have taken so much hard work, some people think it's luck, he would say it was years of hard work just to become a doctor. That qualification is everything, same with any qualification in a world wide industry in demand. It's why I believe people shouldn't be afraid to move cities/countries!

The universe was definitely up to something that day.... there were two areas my dad and I wanted to go that day, and we just so happened to pick that area first.... we had a slow look at a few galleries, walked down AnFu Rd to take the metro to The Bund, but we saw those giant lego bricks across the road so we went over to have a look what was goin on and there Staffan was smiling waving at me haha, it was a hard no for baba at first, but we wanted to help so we went around my dad holding up the sign asking people if they wanted to be his best friend haha, got a few yes's but no to the adventure.....we got hungry, said goodbye and went to get pizza. While later turns out Staffan was having coffee a few joints down and spotted us again haha we were going to leave to meet the rest of the fam, but me instead they came over to us for an emergency meeting........ story goes from there. Staffan I can't thank you enough, you've made some lifelong memories for my dad and the entire fam ❤❤❤my mum wished she was the on the adventure hahahaaha also baba returns the first bump digitally👊

I went out to watch our Christmas Light Parade last night. And met three women from L.A. We watched the parade together. They were so amazed at our small little community. And me yelling out to our police officers and mayor by name. I love my little town and meeting new visitors from all over the world. But it would be nice to switch places sometimes. I was yelling and crying at the same time watching this. Brought back wonderful memories of when my daughter and I went to China and on to Yangzhou- we did almost all the activities Stefan did - that spectacular show on the river is the most amazing part. We did the bamboo rafting but strongly recommend- if you’re going - to go on a big boat trip along the Li river from Guilin. The landscape you’ll pass by on this river is mesmerizing. Steffan is becoming the beloved frontman of this channel. Best ever channel(s) on KZbin!

I stumbled across your channel when you first arrived in Shanghai. As a Canadian who lived & worked (including Shanghai), then later travelled solo, in China I discovered many stunning places to visit. Of course I returned to Yangshuo - it had developed far beyond what I thought possible. Most beautiful, natural place IMO is Jiuzhaigou. I met a young Chinese man there who took me under his wing to visit the national park. (I think I reminded him of grandparents) Just be prepared for altitude sickness. Longmen Grottoes are also a wonder, manmade, where another young traveller (not from China) joined me on a tour. China is so vast and wonderful that sharing it is a treat to share with someone else. I would love to return but do not see another solo trip happening now I am beyond retirement age.

⁠​⁠​⁠@@MsBhappyI guess moving to a new place, I don’t overthink it. If I try to figure out all the variables, it becomes overwhelming really fast. So I just have a want, or a dream, or something inviting me to a new place and I just go. Once there, I try to figure out the basics of daily life. SIM card, bank, a place to stay, a job… New friends usually start being formed in a new job, and then it’s just a matter of being open when there any gatherings or invitation to meet more people. Like anything after work. Even if it’s uncomfortable I just find it easier to start being part of things so there are more opportunities to meet new people. Anyways. I’m moving from Switzerland to Bangkok this January… so I’ll have to start everything once again a literal year after starting life in Switzerland. (No im far from rich 😅 you just need a little bit on the beginning until you get a local job if you’re not a digital nomad). No words of wisdom 😅 but just sharing what’s been like for me.

I'm only at the part where he discussed being a doctor... as a nurse, I 100% agree with him. Being in the medical field is one of the best jobs... very busy, very fulfilling but also VERY MENTALLY TAXING. I've been through my ups and downs as a nurse but i still love doing the job.
