We just got back from an 8 night Virgin Cruise on the Valiant Lady and it was incredible! You won't find a better cruise! There are plenty of places on the ship if you don't want the louder music but we honestly didn't even notice it! The whole ship is so classy! The food is incredible. The Dual Reality show was amazing! I don't get the negative reviews I've watched. Everything for us was perfect! We were on the ship for Valentine's Day and it was awesome! Free Champagne! We're booking our next Virgin Cruise!

Reading these comments, I think most people forget the best part of cruising… you don’t have to participate in every event on board… you don’t want to see the show.. don’t see it… cruises are like a choose your own adventure vacation, they can be whatever you want them to be or not be. Of corse this line is going to be more rambunctious, more vivid, more out there… that’s in brand for Virgin… They can get away with it because it’s not concerned about young eyes. I’m sure if your looking for a more quiet adventure you can find that as well. I’m not a club guy, never have been, I’m much more a dive bar live music kinda guy, and it sounds like that’s just one of many options… Thanks as always for the honest review !

Would enjoy a lower key adult only cruise. The party aspect is a bit much for me. I love that the majority of things are included and the relaxed dress code. The ships are gorgous and seem like they have a lot to offer. The staterooms look amazing. If they ever do a more chill vibe, with less party, and different entertainment theme I would totally book.

This cruise is as low key as you want it to be. There is something for everybody . Just because there’s a party doesn’t mean you have to go. You can sit by the piano and enjoy the vibes.

Thank you for posting this, as my wife and I went on our first cruise together just last year (Royal Caribbean) and we had a great time, but I was interested to see whether there were "adults only" cruises that we could book for a future trip. I went with them on the Scarlet Lady back in the beginning of January and it was perhaps one of the greatest ways I have kicked off this year! So, I have never thought about cruising at all but now that Virgin came along it was something I was interested in trying. It’s definitely a cruise line where you go in with an open mind but it was great and I would totally do it again! Not to mention I did it as a solo cruiser and most, if not all the people were very friendly!

Our cruise on The Scarlet Lady is Aug 13 - 18 2023. The "ADULTS ONLY" is what hooked us. We were on an MSC Cruise in February 2023 and the amount of kids was insane! We gifted our adult children the cruise for Christmas. We can't wait!

I’ve been on RCL and Carnival several times and read a few things about Virgin that causes me not to show any interest but I’ve been watching several reviews and almost all are really good. I like how everything is included and there is some excitement going on and not everyone is in bed around 8 like on some cruise ships.

Hey! love the channel! Just got back from my first Virgin cruise - I loved it and already booked another one. I went solo on this trip and met several other solos, and we hung out together for dinners and shows and it was a lot of fun. I'm in my early 60s so older than most, and not a huge party animal compared to others. But I found the trip very chill; if you just want to chill and relax, Virgin is great for that too. I don't drink a whole lot so I will not buy the Bar Tab in the future but that's an individual thing. One disappointment - the weather was too windy in Bimini so we couldn't go there and they substituted Cozumel. I think I need to go back just to see Bimini! And the food is really top notch; it's the real deal. Among the best at sea in my experience! Great video and channel! Thanks!

So we are looking to book a cruise and are on the fence between Virgin and Celebrity. I appreciate you sharing that you’re in your 60s and were still able to chill. I have such mixed emotions about Virgin and although I truly appreciate the articulate detail of this gentleman‘s review, it gives me pause about sailing with them especially the Scarlett night and jumping in pools fully dressed?!? it’s not that we’re looking to do nothing but chill, we consider ourselves eclectic hippies, lol, but I don’t know that I am feeling that the demographics would fit us

@@78grad hey no worries! I felt the same but if truth be told, I didn’t even go to the pool area on scarlet night! I was playing poker in the casino with my new poker buddies! I enjoyed the entertainment around the ship during scarlet night but avoided that pool madness lol. I bought the bar tab but I barely even drink so used less than half of it. My point is that it’s still a lot of fun and you can dial it up to 11 or keep it down to a 2 or 3. It’s such a unique experience that I encourage you to try it and worst case you’ll rule it out for your future cruises. But of course it’s up to you. I will say that Virgin seems super inclusive and diverse which also made it a lot of fun. I hung out with a group of solos who were in the 50-60+ range plus one man in his 30s. Whatever you decide - enjoy your next cruise. I did a back to back with Celebrity and loved that too …

Great review. Very balanced and in depth. You almost feel like you were there. Reminds me of my thirties. This will be fun for singles and adults in between relationships. Not for me though. Never cruised before. My original plan was to book Carnival out of Baltimore (hometown). I'm a bit of an introvert so I wasn't keen about crowds I saw in various videos and I started dwelling on kids running around. One video showed rust and uncleanliness in one of the cabins, but what really dissuaded me was the rampant weed use on board. My wife and I chose Virgin Voyages instead. Worth the extra money, I guess, to avoid some of the things mentioned. Our scheduled cruise will be in September.

I had "Virgin" for a while (the mobile phone service, IMHO). It was a great phone service that was under Sprint until the main company decided to merge with T-Mobile, and had it folded out the USA and into Boost mobile, which is under Dish Network. I ended with going with a family plan along with my dad, stepmom and grandma under Verizon.

They definitely need to rework the pool set-up. I don't understand how they don't have as much pool area as the Celebrity Edge class ships. Those ships have a huge outdoor main pool an indoor solarium pool and the Retreat only pool. Just a huge miss on Virgins part.

Enjoy your videos…cruises never appealed to me till I came across Virgin Voyages. I like the adult only, no kids running around, no formal nights or long buffet lines. I like the modern aesthetic look and come as you are chill attitude. Decided to book their transatlantic next April, I like the extra time at sea. Super excited for this cruise!

I like how the lighting matches Virgin’s branding color scheme. Even Virgin Atlantic has similar lighting/aesthetics on their planes up to having lounge space on them and that’s what I think they were ideally going for which is just absolutely brilliant!

Looks like a comparison to carnival. Without the kids! I know a few peoples that would enjoy that kind of cruise for sure. I would have to go on one to really get a feel though. In the meantime it's another carnival cruise in 4 days!

I like the main stream cruise lines. I've done 7 Carnival cruises last year and will probably do around 15 this year and have no complaints and there is nothing on Virgin that really interests me.
