Nah, the father looked uncomfortable at the end when he realized that his wife had hugged Steffan more times and longer than she ever hugged her own husband. Look closely at 8:31. They edited out the third hug (when the mother tells Steffan "I know you're a good man") out of respect for the father's feelings, but from 7:46 to 7:50 her mother hugged Steffan longer than she ever hugged her own husband. And if it's "just a hug," then why doesn't her husband get to hug 25 year old American girls the way his wife hugs American guys half her age? Put yourself in the father's shoes
@blake9668 Жыл бұрын
@@Later_Nerd They had an open marriage. Why else would the father be okay with his WIFE hugging their daughter's new "guy friend" longer than she ever hugged him and more times than she ever hugged him? Steffan was rizzing up her mother and I think the father caught onto that by the time he was dropping his daughter off at the airport but because his daughter was so happy that she was going on an adventure he didn't really say anything. How could he compete with Steffan anyway given that Steffan is twice his size, younger-than-him, and more athletic and charismatic? If I was that age and my wife hugged another guy that many times (they edited out the third hug), I would file for divorce
@blake9668 Жыл бұрын
Also, let's be real here, the father isn't very territorial (as Andrew Tate) would say given that he let his wife hug Steffan longer and more times than she ever hugged him. A lot of guys would disapprove or divorce their wife if she hugged a guy young enough to be her son, but he was okay with it so I doubt he's very controlling to begin with

Hey guys! Almost two years to date, I decided to seek discomfort by getting my pilot's license. I have always had a massive fear of heights, as well as flying in general. After discovering what you do and how you live life, I was overwhelmingly inspired. Not only did I become a Pilot, but I became commercial pilot with THREE instructor ratings, all within a SEVEN MONTH PERIOD! It was the most difficult time of my life, but now I get to look back and see how far I've come. The reason I would love a ticket to anywhere is because my wife has a promise with an elephant in Thailand. she visited an elephant sanctuary there around ten years ago, backpacking for several months and made a promise to come back and greet her elephant friend. We haven't been able to travel because of student debt, and it would make my dream come true to reunite her with one of her best friends. Thanks for all the inspiration you give to not only me and my family, but the whole world. *edit* just want to throw it out there that I my wife and I up and we love it!

To everyone who’s asked, what I recommend doing is call your local flight school and speak to a flight instructor. The hardest part for a future student is actually taking that first step and going to the flight school to talk about lessons. With all that said, it’s not an easy path to take. There is so much that a pilot needs to know when it comes to the plane, as well as weather and aerodynamics. But I challenge all of you; seek that discomfort as I did, because it’ll change your life!

I thought that I wanted you guys to know how much I appreciate your videos. I'm 21 years old now and I still get emotional whenever I watch one of your videos, it's been five years now but it feels the same way when I first started watching you guys. To this day, I still haven't left the country. Not even once have I been on a plane or a boat. Given that both of my parents lived in the same place, I didn't really have any place to go. Even though I don't have a passport, I'd love to visit Batanes, a province in my country, which is the Philippines. Batanes is the northernmost, smallest, most isolated and literally the most peaceful province in our country. It has a ZERO crime rate. People living their are known for their honesty. Given the chance, I've always wanted to visit Batanes with my mom. She's the only one I have. She's a single mom earning $54 per month. I am well aware that the two of us will never be able to travel in our own given our situation. He served in the military in the US but was unable to vote in our elections due to his status being from Palau. He was the most fun to have around, had the biggest heart, and was so important to many. He was able to come to the US with his family due to a treaty the US has with Palau since we dock many of our military ships at their shores. Every time I watch videos from Yes Theory, I get this overwhelming urge to get out and explore the world. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve cried watching your videos and thinking about all the beautiful places that make up our planet. Growing up, my family struggled to stay afloat financially. We never had any big fancy family vacations. If we did, it was a cheap camping spot somewhere 30 minutes away and every penny was scraped up by my parents to give my siblings and I a fun time. With that, I’ve always dreamed of taking my dad to Greece to see his homeland again. He works unbelievably hard to support my siblings and I and taking him on that trip would be a dream come true. You all have truly inspired me to seek discomfort and to do things that scare me. People like you, Kara and Nate, Eamon and Bec, and so many others have changed my whole perspective on life. After I returned to my city, when things calmed down slightly, I moved to Wuhan, as that’s where teachers were in desperate need. Two years later, after things settled, I continued my journey. I moved to a new city, away from everything I knew. I found myself becoming uncertain of my choices and having difficulties with connecting to positively influential people. Out of the blue, an old friend from Czech reached out and pushed me to travel again. This video opened up my eyes to the excitement I should be experiencing. It made me want to say yes to all of what this trip will hopefully be. Thanks again, Yes Theory. I can’t wait to continue my travels and to grow as a human, on this adventure we call life.

The fact that you guys have built a group of people of all different backgrounds and cultures is so beautiful. Turns out we are all the same and it's tremendous. Thank you for living and also loving, trying times require loving people and sometimes it's hard to be that.

As Filipino it's great to see you in the Philippines even for a short while. My girlfriend and I's dream destination is Japan! We've prepared for the trip more than 2 years ago but the pandemic happened. We always watch videos about Japan every time we're together. We love the culture and seeing it in person would definitely have a great impact in our lives. Now the borders have opened up but due to personal and financial reasons, we have pretty much lost our opportunity to travel to the land of the rising sun. Great video and Steffan got lucky to have chosen a very open Filipino parents to have entrusted you their daughter for a trip without them, very rare!

Literally open; they seem like they have an open marriage; notice how the father didn't mind the fact that his wife hugged Steffan like three times (the third hug at 8:31 was edited out) and she hugged him longer than she ever hugged her own husband. I don't know, Trish's father is like the exact opposite of Andrew Tate..he tolerates his wife being disloyal

Congrats Staffan!!💫💫 And so excited to see strangers doing things like this again, it does feel like when I first started watching long time ago. ❤ Also, thanks for the code!! I I signed up to Headspace and will be using it the next days, its perfectly because of the soon to be over exam season. As for my dream destination, it is Svalbard... for so many reasons! I remember that the first time I found out about this place was about 10 years ago and I promised myself that one day I would set foot in the Arctic Glacier🗻❄ The extreme weather, the unique wilderness, turn postcard views into a reality and enjoy every second of the most beautiful views, get a feeling of how life is in the area, also an amazing place to explore an extreme nature unique to this remote area. I am convinced that seeing glaciers on person would be a breathtaking adventure. The unique experiences you get to do, just wow... from going on a boat in the artic, to visit caves and fjords, also to go in Hytte Tur (cabin trips) on snowmobiles and stay in sheds or research stations and really get a feel for the area, the remote nature 🐻❄and history of this place, probably even skiing or snowboarding for the first time ⛷🏂I truly believe being there can have a magic for itselfIt's, it's for sure out of every comfort zone, far away, very cold and challenging, but I am certain it is positively immeasurable and incomparable. I picture myself trying on the traditional clothes they use for dancing. I wish one day to experience Norwegian culture from this island. Something about the extreme cold, the white nature and the calmness it radiates it is just comforting for me, constantly daydreaming. Its a life goal I still have pending, it would mean the world to have support achieving it! ❤

I just signed up for headspace! Congratulations to Steffan! So glad to see a new member of the team. Over the years I have watched your channel and seen the amazing things you guys have experienced. This has inspired me to want to travel and see the cultures the world has to offer. 9 years ago we hosted a foreign exchange student from Belgium, Charles, and we haven’t got to see him since. My sister and I are planning a trip to Belgium to finally reconnect with him. He experienced America through our lens, now we want to experience his country through his. My sister’s job changes and I am going to college, so we are not sure where we will be in a year. This is why we are planning this summer to go. I have never been out of the country, but my first time would be spent no better way than reconnecting with “family.” Thank you for inspiring me and millions of others!

I’ve been following you guys for a couple of years now. First video I saw was “Asking strangers to watch the Oscars at their home”. You guys brought popcorn too lol. Ever since then I’ve watched every single video that has been released. You guys show the true positivity that needs to be shown through out the world towards simply humanity. We are all born from this world. No matter the difference of our skin tone, we are human beings. Love and respect for one another correlating with patience is all we need. No one human is greater then the other. We are all equals, because we are created from love from the same creator. It would be a dream goal to be apart of one of your videos someday soon. Keep doing what you guys are doing and never stop!

I just signed up for headspace! Watching you guys explore nature in somewhere of such intense beauty has given me so much inspiration for my next few trips. I'm turning 30 this year and after an intense few years of finishing my masters as a psychotherapist and trauma counsellor, I've really come to appreciate the healing powers of being in nature for not just me, but the people I work with. I would LOVE more than anything to continue this exploration in the Azores. I'd take my best friend with me who's been through an incredibly rough year. Would be so great to just hang out in nature together and do yoga on a beach or hike through the waterfalls and most importantly, be silly together and make new friends along the way!

I've noticed not many people, especially in the Western Hemisphere, have heard of the country. So, hopefully after some of this publicity, I won't have to describe where I lived by saying its near Guam and the Philippines. If you go back, I have plenty of recommendations of things to do and eat! P.S. Writing this from Stockholm, overlooking the Tyska Kyrkan. Just found it amusing that I'm in Steffan's home city, while he is in my former home.

WOW, what an incredibe country!! The beauty of our planet is truly endless. I'm so happy for Triss and Abby, it must have truly been a once in a lifetime experience. I'd love to see nothing more, than such a genuine and honest laughter on my fathers face! He has been an incredibly hard-working man his whole life, dedicating all his time and effort towards providing a better future for my sisters and me. He always manages to put all his extra time and money towards our future, ensuring that we have everything we need to succeed. Though always working tirelessly left him very little extra time and money to actually spend on himself. Born in communist Hungary, he has dreamt of visiting Bali ever since his childhood, but unfortunately, due to financial and time constraints, he has never been able to make this dream a reality. He has always put his family first, sacrificing his own dreams and desires for the betterment of our future. Winning these free plane tickets and going on this once in a lifetime trip together would be the perfect way to show him how much we appreciate all that he has done for us.
