Cooper is as natural of a real mechanic as i have ever seen. His mechanical abilities are on the genius level considering his young age. There is nothing that young man doesn't believe he can do. Real mechanics have to have both sides of their brain operating at a very high level - most people do not realize that. His mom and dad are very proud of him as is his brother and sister - it is very obvious from this wonderful family's videos. There is a ton of talent in this GREAT AMERICAN farm family! Good job Cooper. Well done son.

I broke down in TX one night, blew the turbo on the tractor. UPS leases their over the road tractors from Penske. So Penske brought me out a loaner, it was so dark I couldnt do a good inspection on it. I finished my shift, my partner took over and I went in the bunk. He woke me up when it was light enough to see, the side faring on the driver side was hanging on by only a couple bolts and was flapping all over the place. We had to stop again, call Penske. My partner didnt want to sit and wait on another tractor, he wanted to get home. But I was the senior driver and I told him I didnt want it coming off and going thru somebodies windshield. That would be like a ten foot knife coming at you.

All the fairings are for fuel mileage improvements, so say the engineers. The rear ones do also help, a bit, with the wind between truck & van trailers. Not so much with flatbeds. Pig pen or bull racks, never pulled them so not sure. Now I see it was a millennial truck, no stick through the floor! 😁 He sure got the life out of the tires though. 👍👍

oh man, please be careful with torches around inflated tires / rims... I’ve seen way too many tires explode and seriously injure people doing this exact same thing. One guy I know lost an eye. All that being said, good job gettin’ r’ done Coop. 👍🏼 you’ve got a very successful future ahead of ya!

My father inlaw asked me to help him rotate his steer tires once and we had no power tools. We used a 3/4" breaker bar with a pipe extension. I was told hearing the rusted nut caused expansion, weakening the rust weld. Basically +5 days soaking in penetrating oil in 5 minutes. Tough jobs heat, spray with cold water, then reheat as it’s the metal expanding, contracting that breaks rust. (Too much heat damages temper of course. I suggest next time you have a real shop work on the truck you ask them to check, torque the lug nuts. Of course you can’t get the inside... leave the fairings. I might spray penetrating oil on lug bolts when I’m thinking of putting new tires soon. The old tires. Automatic trouble if caught hauling with them. I have pulled stuff with sketchy tires. I wouldn’t drive that Kenworth 50 miles bobtail with as bad as they looked. (Maybe directly to tire shop after dark)

3/4 gun on semi lugs? Anyhoo, just a FYI on tire tread selection. That tread is a good tread except for the solid outer lug, they trap snow, mud, etc. They make the same tread with a open outer lug that allows the tread to clean out.
