I have a 2011 E63 AMG which of course has the M156 engine, I have had it for 3 years now and I am the 3rd owner. Believe it or not, now it has 145k miles on it and still running great with absolutely zero issues! These engines are actually very reliable, I don't care what people say. I drive it everyday and I drive it hard! YES I did replace the cam adjusters which IS a common issue on these engines. Which by the way should not happen if you drive low on oil, and you should never drive it hard when the oil is still cold. These cars come with a warning from Mercedes to never drive it hard when the oil is not up to temperature, that's why when you start up the car and check the AMG menu you will see the oil temperature flashing while going up until it reaches 176 F. Most people don't know that and keep revving it hard and drive it hard when the oil is still cold and even when it's low. Again that's from my personal experience and my car is still strong at 145k miles no check engine light or any other issue!

@@adamfrbs9259 you're welcome, I should also mention that I maintain it myself, I change the oil every 5k miles, I use Liqui Moly 5w 40. and I check the oil level every like 2 weeks and I add some if it needs to. And make sure to not over fill it. These engines do consume some oil

I love it when you put 2 videos out a week. The one on Saturday hits like clockwork, but I drive truck, so I watch KZbin videos while I'm out on the road, not while driving, of course (wink wink), and when I refresh my feed during the week, and I see a LSC video pop up, I know that I'll get a cool video to watch when I have down time. When you dropped the transmission fluid in this car, I thought the trans was toast because it looked burnt. I didn't know that the fluid was actually a greenish color. Well, I learnt something today. I wish it was learning a song on my guitar, but mechanical knowledge is helpful also.
