@@St0neByte Tesla is the most anti-consumer car company in terms of repairs, they will block you and future owners of vehicle out of charging network when you do any work on battery with very hard way (or no way) to get back. They are glueing battery pack so now It is much harder to fix them, and while I understand thermal benefits for plaid I do not understand why model 3 and Y are glued. On top of that they removed lidars to save a thousand or something but the autopilot isn't ready and without lidar backup they killed few motorcyclists because autopilot made mistake. Switch-mode power supplies (AC to DC / DC to DC converters) require a minimum current draw. It's possible that operating a switch-mode power supply for long periods with insufficient load could cause board-level component failures. 3 words: Right to repair Otherwise, broken wires are very commonly intermittent, and frankly with all the mods it is by far the most likely issue. Wire bundles get disturbed or moved during these type of mods and can easily end up in a situation where they chafe on a sharp edge or something like that or just get pulled on too much during the mods. It's a lot of troubleshooting with a multimeter, but it will likely be the only solution that eventually works. I really hope that it does end being that module, but experience tells me probably not. Fingers crossed.

The SW does thousands of diag checks and is madly complex. kudos to those guys who are having a go on your car and trying to fix it it is a really interesting system. One tip - just try and see if you can emulate the removed connections(at least to passive stuff like sensors and such) so the SW doesn't generate so many errors. Sometimes so many errorrs on the bus cause the units to create big comm. Overhead which may start affecting comm. To healthy units.

By definition, a dealership is a franchise that can pretty much do what they want for pricing and service. Tesla handles everything directly, hence the direct to consumer philosophy. @@lanejohnson7656 That's a valid argument; I see the same thing in the music world with a lot of tools/effects being much more accessible to your average person. But I'd counter that while you'll probably see more "noise" as it were, the "signal" aka, what racing enthusiasts really like - will still be fun and exciting by the rules of those races. Just like driving normal cars. Millions of people driving a gutless 15 year old car has not ruined racing. The community just needs to figure out how to do racing with EV's where it's not just a tack on thing. Like it or not, the change is coming in someway or another; why not work to embrace it and make it fun instead of digging in ones heels?

@@Daphoid The only reason it’s coming is because it’s being shoved down our throats by tyrants over lies.. Start digging craters in the earth In the US instead of across the world, out of sight and out of mind and watch all the morons lose their minds.. If EV was so great people would gravitate to it naturally, the tyrant government wouldn’t have to mandate it. The weak azz power grid struggles to keep up the way it is and you fools think throwing millions of cars on it is a good idea.. lol. The difference of people driving 15 year old gutless cars is. You can literally make something out of them so they are no longer gutless.. I guarantee you in the 80’s and 90’s people didn’t want to be caught dead in something like a pinto wagon or a Volvo wagon. But today watching them rip off 6 sec 1/4 mile or low to mid 4 sec 1/8 mile runs is pretty badass. Built for less than one of these pile of 💩 Tesla’s by the way and will absolutely smoke them.

Pretty decent “Black Friday Special”, y’all got there, for them coming out and doing some real diagnosis, versus, throwing parts at it. Don’t think Tesla treated y’all that bad, as I suspect they’re roped in by franchise agreements. Kewl that these guys are taking their experience and knowledge, and carrying it forward, creating a niche business, and providing service options for people.

OK, I saw the EV "exhaust speakers" on a SEMA video and laughed out loud. It's the adult version of putting playing cards on your bicycle spokes. I think it would be more amusing to have the sound of Fred Flintstone's feet slapping the pavement.

I dont know about exhaust notes on EV's- but I do like the Speakers for "rev sounds" anyways- it'd be really cool to create your own sound wave for your car to differentiate it from the others.

It is not an issue of if they will work on a chopped up or modified car... It is the fact that they lock down part and diagnostic tools. Give us access to parts and diagnostic tools just like all other car manufacturers are required to.

Always test your power and grounds with a substituted load... a turn signal light... a headlight... something... i bet u still have a bad ground...
@275Motorsport Жыл бұрын
May not be a bad ground but yes that way you are saying is the correct way to test a wire. a bad wire will pass the continuity test with a meter but not be able to flow any actual current.

Love It! You have removes so much body may have ti add a copper wire to all of the ground points from front to rear of the car. Ecoat paint at factory caused bad grounds years ago had to add extra grounds near tail lights for them to work.. It is too much to explain, maybe jump all the grounds together with one small copper wire. Hope to see it run again.

Someome tag elon😂. Get the builder/tuner community into this and oh lordy look out. Tesla through the roof. Theyll def have to double production of battery and motor. I get from his side why that wont happen and has been such a battle. But as a mech engineer with 6 cars, all but 1 heavily modded.. some of the BEST solutions and input ive ever heard were from the tuner movement.

Kyle I'm a certified Tesla technician, to disconnect the battery, unplug the 12v battery as you have, and to unplug the main battery, there is a plug under the rear seat on the passenger side. That is the correct way to do it.
