I agree! It is perfectly acceptable to have store bought treats in your home, and with lunches and after school snacks alone, you may need much more than that! Loved seeing you and hubby together today! My husband and I started doing the shopping together and grab a coffee or treat before to spend a quiet moment together ❤️ We’ve been married 20+ years and if you do not make the time together, life can get away from you. Love the video!

I’m a lucky woman, for the past six weeks my husband has been doing the shopping. He doesn’t mind, but being in lockdown only allowing one person out that is him, because he works and he is already out. I will be happy to take my shopping back! God Bless

We just started online shopping. Good thing you don't have to do the shopping. You don't have to bag groceries.. You don't have to load and unload. Bad thing you don't always get what you want or ordered. For instance I ordered butter top white bread and got french toast bread. LOL. The delivery people knock once drop off and don't even appear to want to be tipped. I would tip but they are gone before I get to the door. Happy holidays! I am in the US and so far this is my experience. We have stairs to go up to get into the house so added bonus to do online shopping. Course I have teenagers which I normally utilize for hauling in. Another draw back it seems to take a long time to put the order together online. Probably no longer then making a grocery list and doing the actual shopping. Funny thing is I end up buying more pastries online it seems then when I go in person. Overall I am finding the experience good especially during Covid.

What thickens cream? Love to watch your grocery hauls! I learn something new every time!
@angelika_munkastrap46344 жыл бұрын
In Australia, what's known as heavy cream in the US is commonly known as thickened cream. The two both contain similar milk fat content percentages and are generally interchangeable in recipes. “Heavy Cream, which is the one that's often labelled thickened cream in Australia, consists of about 35 per cent milk fat (or 35 grams per hundred ml). Along with the 35% milk fat, thickened cream contains additives such as gelatin, vegetable gum or other modifiers. The additives act as thickening agents, making it easier to whip and less likely to separate or curdle. There is also a reduced-fat version containing only 18% milk fat. However, In the U.S., cream with a milk fat content percentage of 36 to 40 is classified as heavy cream. ... Heavy cream has no additives but is still naturally thick and fit for whipping. in the US, heavy cream is usually sold as 'whipping cream'. Double cream contains more than 48 per cent milk fat content. What is a substitute for thickened cream? Milk and Butter. Combining the milk and butter is an easy, foolproof way to substitute for heavy or thickened cream, that'll work for most recipes. The butter adds extra fat to the milk, making its fat percentage similar to that of heavy cream.

@TheBonellFamily4 жыл бұрын
I kind of shop backwards - shop to fill pantry and freezers etc and then meal plan from what I have at home instead of just shopping for that particular week but if you averaged it all out then a grocery shop this size/price, would last about a week or slightly longer.

Sometimes it’s good to take hubby on a grocery haul, it’s a reality shock for them as the have no idea how much things costs or what’s involved grocery shopping your haul was good. Kids will love you lots of new snacks in the bin. I shop online, because of my health, and usually shop Coles and Woolworths so it works out very well getting specials etc at both stores get substitutes sometimes but on the whole it works out well. Delivery drivers have been so good and if I stand back they will drop groceries on the kitchen floor which is great saves me hauling them down the passage. Good video stay safe💕
