Very cool and really nice guy!. Used to live in Ponte Vedra FL and looks just like the creeks of the intracoastal. Only thing I would raise a slight eyebrow about is the "calling out" what type of fish it is when it hits and never being right, :). Doesn't matter just sort of funny

Can you help explain the trout slick you were smelling at 6:12? First time I've ever heard someone use that phrase. First time watching! Great video.
@CaptCollier2 жыл бұрын
Absolutely, when I say “trout slick” I’m referring to the film on top of the water from oily fish such as Pogies that game fish (usually trout and redfish) are feeding on. They are aggressive fish and will continue to eat and regurgitate baits which causes a “slick” on top of the water which indicates that there are fish somewhere close feeding! It has a distinct smell, you’ll know when you see one. Thanks for watching!
@redfishbluetail2 жыл бұрын
@@CaptCollier Thanks for the tip. I've certainly seen slicks where I shouldn't. I hadn't put that together. I'm in Charleston, SC, we got plenty of oil bait. I'll be on the look out.
