As a mom and a grandma, I can say that you made the best size of a baby quilt. It's a good size to be on for tummy time. More importantly, when the child is a toddler, it's perfect for nap time. I never understood those really small baby quilts that were pretty, but impractical. Also, I love that blue!

Dave you always make me chuckle- love your wit - oh and the baby quilt turned out fabulous. Like others thanks for spoiling us with a bonus video. I want you to snap your fingers for me on those blocks that go on and on. I’ll send you a note when needed. 😂

It's interesting to see how you did method with the quilt sandwich. That's how I learned about 25 years ago pre-youtube! All we had back then were books to teach us! Or a class if you could find one and the work schedule allowed such. 😊 Thank you!

Great quilt. I think it's a happy accident that you ran out of the light blue because the word blocks look better and stand out more with the darker blue. It is perfect. I'm also making baby quilts this size for my new granddaughter. So much more practical and long lasting than infant size. I know they will love it.

I'm absolutely team "press to the site", espacially with a block like the 4 patch seams can be nested easily. But as you said: do whatever works best for you. Instructions are more like suggestions for me 😂 Now proceeding with the video to see the quilt, it surely will be great! - indeed, it is just awesome. The darker blue for the big squares works really great as well. ❤

I made all of my nieces and nephews quilts for Christmas a couple years ago. I then used a panel and scraps from all the quilts and made a "Nonna" quilt for my Sister in law. So all of her babies were represented and babies like to find their parts. Its not the prettiest quilt but its very cuddly and she can fit all the littles in for Movie night❤

You ask... because I took it alart over and over and over again...wish i would have took pictures of all the different quilts it was before it ended up the quilt it is. I made it for my father and i wanted it to be perfect...its far far from perfect. But i learned a lot.

I miss Korean BBQ. It's is so good. I wish now that I had bought fabric when I was traveling around. Your quilt is nice and is a good way to use the fabric.

Question Dave: How is there more bulk if you iron your seams to the side? If you press the seams open, there are 2 seams allowance layers on each side. If you press to the side, nestle the seams, you have 2 layers of seam allowance on each side. Guess the only way it would be bulky is if you don't nestle them. Both quilts are Davetastic in any case!!😊
@davescraftroom2 ай бұрын
if you iron it to the side you would have 3 layers on one side, and then if you ever have to fold that seam over at any point that would be 6 layers 😜👨🏻
