For the frog I initially thought of a sheriff frog with a water gun and a star badge but your idea was really fun too and we did get a racoon cowboy so it would've been a bit redundant anyway ;)

I appreciate your decision to only use primary colours for the first design, since clowns typically only use primary colours in their makeup and outfit. sometimes we use pink and green and purple (I have purple accents under my eyes since they stand out more than gold) but generally it’s only red, blue and yellow

Some advice I've heard if your colour pencils keep breaking (idk if it works) is to leave them in the sun for a bit so the wax warms up and melts back together. Adorable art as always!

the lead color was different to the barrel bc it’s not a standard prismacolor premier colored pencil. it looks like prismacolor’s line of watercolor pencils

The way the transparent portions ended up on the ghost clown makes me think that they were just a normal ghost who dressed up like a clown and that's why their accessories and makeup are opaque 😂🤡

Im pretty sure theyre prismacolor brand colored pencils and thicker paper like watercolor paper (a heavier weight)

For colored pencils, I know its not your thing, but have you tried using alcohol as a solvent for it? You get the smoothness without murdering your... every single muscle! :D
