Hi everyone! I’ve been getting quite a few concerned comments asking where the females are going to lay their eggs now that I’ve removed the land platform. Chinese crocodile lizards actually give birth to live babies and they always do this in bodies of water! They don’t lay eggs so don’t worry ☺️👍🏼! Thank you all so much for watching today’s video! I have some exciting news coming up in the next few months pertaining to these animals! Stay tuned!

Try leaving a small area of pebbles, or even a small container of substrate for the roots to grow in and still have structure, they are going to die for sure just floating around
@anthonyb70604 жыл бұрын
I was just about to ask if they were live bearers or egg layers. I wish you all the luck in the world with this project. I really feel that you are going to be successful as I was thinking that the hardest part of successfully reproducing them would be properly incubating the eggs but with that not being an issue, I BELIEVE U WILL BE SUCCESSFUL.... TRULY GOOD LUCK.

Hi! I just wanted to let you know that you helped my little boy to get through abdominal surgery. Our whole family loves your channel and my little one has been dealing with a hernia for a month. He loves when you post videos as we have a couple reptiles and have been so inspires by your enclosures. With covid my husband was the only one who could go into the hospital and to keep him calm without me there they binge watched your videos! The surgery went well and my baby is a trooper so hes great. But I just wanted to let you know that your videos have made a huge impact on our whole family including our animals which have much nicer enriching habitats. Thank you for all that you do. Much Love, The Deckers

I just recently ripped my whole fishtank apart and built it new. Added more plants, some rocks and a big piece of wood with aquatic moss on it. It was a lot of work but seeing how much the fish like it it's rewarding. They are much more active now cause they feel more secure in the "Forrest" I build them. Especially the shrimps. I prefer the setup just a tad more open, easier to find the critters, and though they still have their hides, it almost forces them to acknowledge you a bit more Did you mention if those cuties eat any of the fish? They interact with them at all? Omgosh they are STUNNING 😍

What an exciting herp and ento channel! Such awesome dinos, man. And idea for your next changeup in the way you have the wood lined up is to create two teepees on the left and right and then place a cork bark with multiple top openings on it and fill it with vivarium substrate. Make it so that the top part is a lid. That way if you have a nesting female, you'll have a good platform nest. The nest is for the little ones when they aren't really great at climbing yet. That's really exciting news, though. :)

For sure! I’d recommend creeping ficus, pothos, some species of peperomia of your liking and maybe some floating plants in the water. Anything that you can plant that will sort of take over and creep across the enclosure or provide lots of cover and throw roots into the water to help remove harmful nutrients are great options :)

I had just found out about custom backgrounds, and saw my Giant Day gecko enclosure, and went crazy. Turns out to be a bad idea because for some reason before, my gecko was just getting used to me, and would even eat honey out of a spoon from me. After though, she disappeared for months on end, only coming out for about an hour a day, and I didn’t see any improvement until about one week ago. Wish me luck 🤞

For the answer to the question of the day,I gave my Leopard Gecko a significant upgrade for his enclosure a few months ago. I moved him from a basic 16 gallon enclosure to a spacious 3 foot long enclosure furnished with rocks and a few dried branches to climb on and it looks somewhat natural except there's no substrate. I just used a flat sheet of adhesive cork board that I stuck to the floor. He utilizes the entire enclosure though,but only at night. I sometimes see him perched on top of one of the rocks or on top of one of thr branches when it was time for lights-out. During the day he's usually curled up inside his cave. I plan on eventually putting a clay substrate to his enclosure though. The gecko himself is used to having his prey(mealworms and dubia roaches) placed in a 1 1/2 inch deep feeding tray so there won't be any problems with him accidentally ingesting bits of the substrate because he will feed from there.

Grab all your branches, place them into a bin or large container etc, place a brick ontop of the branches, fill with water to the top full submerging and soak for a week. Leave to dry for a day in the sun and place back into your tank. By doing this you will no longer have that brown peat stain in your water. I do this this process with fresh branches & logs and old hollowed out logs from the farm and use them in my ponds. Water is crystal clear.

Answer to the question of the day: I actually tend to redesign animal enclosures at least once a year mostly because I myself get bored of it lol, and also because I think it will give them some more stimulation, and a change of scenery for them. Ive redesigned my clawed frog tank, I added plants, aquatic and emergent. My crestie vivs get big changes, usually I shift everything, swap out plants, sometimes I plant annual seeds in there like coleus (which CAN be grown as a perrenial, but I prefer to have em as annuals in vivariums, coz I want to keep them small) and I added a lot more plants into my chameleon vivarium as well.
