My wife is never interested in what I watch or what I read, if it isn't some fantasy. That's all I do when she's not around, and I've learnt to occasionaly just ignore her attention seeking and mind my books. It's still so damn hard, like she can't stand the idea that my atention is not focused on her, whenever I read she keeps looking at me, and bothers me often with insignificant chitter chatter. How I'd love if she'd just pick up a book of her own and read beside me. I even offered to read aloud.

That’s why people seek after similarities in relationships, knowledge like that is big for many women. Not saying you still can’t love or be happy with someone who has different interests but it’s still more difficult.

@@Jaydavid25. Yeah but that must be done for both sides, just saying that normally opposites may work but they don’t last and aren’t very stable. Personally as a woman here I love reading philosophy, psychology and litterateur, I like playing games and lifting weights at the gym. The guy I’ve been attracted to for the past 2 years, goes to the gym, reads philosophy and plays video games. We are very very alike in terms of fashion taste, interests etc.

I don’t do this specifically with the Roman’s. But enjoy doing this with reading about the American Civil war. Currently I’m reading about the Army Of The Potomac by Russell H Beatie and it’s been amazing! And recently I got my hands on a great mini series documentary of the civil war narrated by Stephen Lang so that’s been amazing!

Watching documentaries before bed is a risky business, especially if you're watching documentaries on KZbin because of how much easier it is to fall down the rabbit whole. I have started watching documentaries at 10:00 pm and kept going until I realized it was 4:00 am. I go from True Crime docs to videos explaining how the English language evolved and so on.

Reminds me of when my family and I were staying at a hotel and I didn’t feel good and threw up. Then he took me back to the hotel so I could chill out. We did nothing but munch on trail mix and watch documentaries, he legit said “I needed this” and I agree 100%

I did that once, but with my mom, aunt , and older cousin. It was my first day ever in the Rocky Mountains and I think I got altitude sickness. Me and my cousin chilled at the hotel and played pool for hours. It’s a great memory from my childhood

Still a hell of a lot more educational than Love and Hip Hop. Even if The History Channel is full of shit, you're still learning something. Shows like Love and Hip Hop, 90 Day Fiancé, and other similar shows are just mind numbing, intelligence draining, and a waste of time.
