Can we please just talk about how many skills this woman has outside of fitness!? Altering a jumper for herself - no problem! Cooking meals that are all delicious and totally look like they are out of a fancy cookbook - you got it! Running several businesses whilst managing her time and health - killing it! Making me laugh out (way too) loud at least five times in 30 minutes through a computer screen - no effort needed 😎 The list could go on and on and the same goes for Mario. I truly admire your sense of balance, it's sooo reassuring to watch. Thank you so much for being such an inspiration Natacha! sending big hugs xx ❤

Agree 100% yesterday I had hit my straw and decided to change something regarding my “diet” (more like lifestyle). After dancing in a very stereos manner, being a pre professional ballet dancer in training- I had anorexia. I then “healed”, by eating only carbs completely excluding protein and fat, crazy I know. Yesterday was my first proper meal after two years of the crap, and I am already feeling much better. I was shaking incompulsory, feeling nauseous, trying not to pass out 24/7, constant headaches, no energy at all, and combating sleep deprivation. Unfortunately my menstrual cycle has stopped for a month, but that’s not on the top of my concern right now 😂 But yeah, I hope that I will start eating like a normal person again. A word of advice: if it sounds radical, then it’s most likely radical. The secret to a healthy lifestyle in diet is eating a bit of everything, and for me I will stick to such macros: 10-30 grams of fat a day (of course things can fluctuate but this is a rule of thumb for me), protein will be the middle ground, and carbohydrates will be my most preferred macro nutrient 😉 Anyways good luck stranger!

I’m on week 8 of your Cut program, and I’m feeling great! I love having the guidance without having to follow a video while I workout. It allows for interruptions from my kids. I’ve also never had a healthy mindset around food, and you’ve helped me so much in my approach. I’m usually all or nothing, and if I eat a cookie I throw in the towel and eat the whole bag. Restrictions are so bad for my psychology. I truly appreciate your influence! It’s too early to tell, but I think you’re changing my life for the better! I can’t even explain how grateful I am for you.

I'm in the middle of a program that has me tracking calories and macros. Started with a deficit to cut and now reverse dieting back up. My trainer and I have been talking a lot about making sure I'm still living my life and maintaining balance in my diet with nothing being off-limits. I've learned I can be quite obsessive when it comes to my diet and discovered your videos just a couple days ago. Recently started watching your content.. I have to make a confession. I’ve definitely been subscribed for a long while. I followed when I was on my 876898th time of starting a “weight loss” journey. But never got around to actually watching your videos only bc my motivation was quickly puffed out in an instant. On my recommendations list sometime a few weeks ago, I believe it was a running video of yours came up and I decided on a whim to click on it and give it a try. I was doing some mundane task and I just needed to have something on in the bg and none of my other faves had uploaded. I clicked out of sheer chance, I listened to your thought provoking monologues bc it resonated with my jumbled up brain, and I binged the rest of your videos bc I was instantly hooked on your energy. Your drive. Enthusiasm. And your genuine passion for doing what you love. Is this a quick, messy and brain dump of a love letter?? Maybe?? But it’s something I felt I needed to tell you even if you don’t get a chance to read it right away. I hope I can keep you, your videos and Mario in my life for a long long time from these days onward! ♥️

Natacha, these vlogs are everything. They radiate so much joy and lightness but I see how much real work you put in every day to keep yourself happy and healthy. I know you only show glimpses into your life and I'm very much aware that what we see on social media (and especially here on KZbin) isn't the full picture, but I really admire your work ethic and your level of commitment to your craft. You're living proof that a person can work hard and not be too hard on themself. You inspire me to live a life as free and as true to one's self as yours. Keep doing what you do!

The end really got me. I've been struggling with energy levels due to psychological stuff and have been bedridden without an explananation to what's happening. I got my diagnosis and meds a year ago now and I started playing badminton as well. It's crazy how much my life has changed. I've been seeing a nutritionist as well and have found out that I gained weight while I was eating faar too little food! Since taking care of my mental health, nutrition and physical activity I've been able to live life much much more. I wouldn't say it's "perfect" yet but it really touched me when you said that you work towards being able to live life to the fullest because that's my mission as well! I've been watching your videos more the past weeks and I just love your openness and honesty, it is so motivating, real and relatable! This video has brought a big smile to my face and a little happy/sad tear at the end

You know, I’ve gained weight eating too little as well. I’ve found that I don’t want to eat that much but that I’m doing that it does not serve me. I’ve also found that not wanting to eat is a form of starving for me, and I am starved for live somewhere in the back of my mind and in my childhood. Searching through the enneagram workbook has gotten me to journal about what’s been weighing me down and holding me back and to find healing. Just thought I’d share since I have depression as well and have been frozen in place for periods of time and gained weight eating too little.

Okay, this video was really helpful to me! I recently tracked my calories for a few weeks and to be honest it made me a little insecure because the numbers seemed very high for a smallish woman like me. I'm a climber and I usually do 3 pretty intense bouldering sessions per week, plus daily cycling (about 30 minutes - 2 hours total per day). In my mind those activities are nowhere near on the same level as the kinds of workouts you do, but in reality, I guess they're not too far off either. So just seeing the caloric intake you need to fuel that kind of exercise puts things in perspective and makes me feel a lot better about it 🙈 Thanks! ☺️

i truly love this content! i’ve had a terrible year obsessing about weight loss and fitness and it has led me down a wayward path trying to recover. i am super thankful for your videos on nutrition, training, and uncovering the science behind fat loss and muscle gain. it’s helped me improve my mindset on what fitness and health are and instead, i’ve been working towards enjoying my training and how it makes me feel. im nowhere as recovered as i’d like to be but i’m excited for what’s to come. i cannot thank you enough natacha- peace and love ✨💕! ☺️

I am currently tracking to make sure that I get all the nutrients I need and I also noticed that on some day I just get a lot hungrier so I eat 2000 calories which is crazy for me, usually, I eat about 1600 calories. And during my ED days I stopped at 1000-1200 calories. This is honestly thanks to you, because before I used to track and once I noticed I had reached a certain calorie count I'd just stop eating or eat practically nothing the day after. Your relationship with food is really healing. Thank you Natacha, you helped me see that food is not my enemy but my fuel! ❤

Thank you so much for sharing fun but realistic meals and for all the nutritional advice you've given me over the years. I got a body composition scan done for the first time yesterday as I try to lose some weight, and the owner gave me the blanket advice to "eat clean" and only have 1300 calories a day which I immediately knew was way too low. Goes to show how much misinformation there is out there, so finding a creator like you who's genuine, honest, and shares science-based fitness means everything. ❤

Ive had too completely overhaul the way I approach food + exercise. My whole childhood, I was obsessed with wanting to be tiny. I know it came from family - brown, immigrant families have no filter or awareness of the impact of their comments. Now I try really hard to workout because its medicine for my depression and good food balances out my mood. I try to remember its not about pushing myself to oblivion every time I get on the mat. I live my the notion of consistent mediocrity now, just a consistent 60% effort for my brain. I love seeing your videos because I didn't have good examples of nourishment growing up. As for exercise I began posting my workouts on my channel, so I'd have a visual to SEE with my own eyes, that I'm getting stronger, and better at yoga/pilates and exercise isnt just about trying to be small.

As someone who has been struggling with eating disorders for a few years now, these videos are so helpful. I’m having a high anxiety day today, and I almost skipped this video for fear of it increasing that anxiety. Alas, I did not, and I am so so glad I didn’t! Truly this video uplifted my spirits and lessened some of my anxiety. You’ve taught me that having a scientific approach to eating can actually be listening to cravings and hunger cues, and that our bodies are quite smart in figuring out what we need. Thank you!

a bowl of oatmeal and a new natacha video, a beautiful combo :)) i also do wonder, when your goal is to maintain, what sort of thinking/planning do you do for your training? i'm so used to doing so with a goal in mind be it gaining muscle or losing weight etc that i don't think i even know how i would go about such a thing, if that makes sense ^^
@natachaoceane
@natachaoceane 2 жыл бұрын
hey beautiful!! haha I actually know what you mean! When I'm maintaining I find a routine that fits my schedule, it can be the same split as a muscle building or fat loss programme but it doesn't have to be. Exercise-wise I focus on my big muscle groups and foundational exercises like lunges, pull-ups, squats, press-ups etc and push myself always, trying to go as heavy as possible throughout and then working in some of the new skills I want to work on. Sometimes I'll get stronger and notice myself having better endurance or strength but the biggest sign that I might not be eating enough would be losses in strength/cardiovascular fitness. Maintaining means i truly can listen to my hunger cues for each day rather than focussing on increasing my calories a little (for muscle-building) or lowering them a little (for losing fat). Hope that helps!! All my love xxx
