Hey my friends! Today, I wanted to chill with you guys, have fun and make some food! I hope you enjoy the recipes if you give them a go! They’re all down below for you to try!!
Recipes:
---
Breakfast: Porridge Bites (makes 16 cupcake sized bites) (www.healthylit...)
I didn’t have frozen fruit so I just used fresh and it worked out well, just use a little bit less so that it doesn’t go too soggy!
---
Lunch: Frozen Gyoza with Edamame salad (serves 2)
24 frozen gyoza (I had prawn and vegetable ones)
320g peeled edamame beans
1/4 red cabbage (shredded)
6 small carrots (sliced or shredded)
1 spring onions (sliced)
100g quinoa (uncooked)
Dressing: 2tbsp Sesame oil, 2tbsp soy sauce, 2tbsp white vinegar (change any of the ratios to your taste)
Start cooking the quinoa according to the instructions on the pack (or you can buy pre-cooked quinoa to save the time). Meanwhile, prepare the vegetables and mix together in a bowl. Set aside and reheat the gyoza according to the packet (I pan fried for 4 minutes, then added 3 tbsp water and covered for 4 minutes until hot throughout). Once the quinoa is cooked, add it to the veg bowl and mix through the dressing. Serve together with the cooked gyoza and enjoy!
---
Snack: Strawberry Cottage Cheese (serves 2)
400g light cottage cheese
200g strawberries (sliced)
12g satchet powdered gelatin
Optional sweetener of choice (I used sugar but anything works!)
Handful pistachios (optional)
Mix the cottage cheese with the gelatine and strawberries and sweeten to taste. Add pistachios if you like or any other toppings and enjoy!!
----
Dinner: Chicken, mango salsa and coconut rice (serves 2)
3 chicken breasts (halved)
Chicken seasoning of choice (salt + paprika is always nice!)
1 mango (chopped)
2 limes
1/2 red pepper (finely chopped)
1/2 small red onion (finely chopped)
Handful coriander (finely chopped) - I swap used parsley instead because… coriander…
2 x 250g packets of cooked rice (I chose coconut flavour because the flavours work so well!)
Season the chicken breasts. Heat a lightly greased pan to medium heat and add the chicken, cover and leave for 10-15mins until the meat is cooked through. Meanwhile, chop the mango, red pepper, coriander and red onion and mix into a bowl, squeeze over the juice of 2 limes, season with salt and mix well. Reheat the rice as per the instructions on the packet, remove the chicken from the heat and serve with the mango salsa! Enjoy!!

@@natachaoceane I hate that you felt like you needed explain the intuitive eating thing because of that stupid video. That god forbid you mention weightloss along the side intuitive eating and now you're an imposter that has some sort negative impact on vulnerable people. You are an amazing example of balanced eating and excercise and its absolutely ridiculous that someone who wants to lose weight would be considered unbalanced or on the edge of an ED for wanting to do so. The truth is the majority Americans and British are overwieght and unhealthy, you provide great scientific information, you encourage people to have good relationships with food and not restrict themselves of certain foods. You also show how to correctly do things so we can achieve our goals and keep the results long term, which makes us feel better about ourselves. I guess what I'm saying is we know you are on our side and you do more for us then a woman whose whole channel is based off critiquing other women's diet.

Two of my university teachers are currently studying impact of extended bed time on recovery for multisports elite athlete, it seems that 7-9 hours of sleep is a good aimpoint but extending to 8-10 hours in bed/sleep seem to have quite good advantages for extremely active athletes, with only 4-5 workouts a week 7-9 should do it, also, I recently a chat with the nutritionist for the canadian speed skating team and we talked about recovery, good nutrition up to your needs (for athletes it can sometime exceed appetite) with carbs, hydration and protein surrounding your workouts seems to be ideal for most… but yeah, same boring awnser: best way to recover is to eat well, sleep well and have as little stress as you can surrounding your fitness

I really love that you evaluate the language you use and understand the gravity of your platform and language. It’s def a unique take on intuitive eating that I haven’t heard of before but I see what you mean: labeling gives the illusion you like, subscribe and actively practice a thing, I suppose.
@natachaoceane
@natachaoceane 2 жыл бұрын
hey! yeah I try to be aware and re-evaluate it often without overthinking it too much, which can be a hard balance to strike! I think the conclusion I came to was that my way of eating is the default you land on when you don't create rules and tension with food, it's not something I actively try to practice. And using a term for it might imply it's the latter, so I won't (:

I am grateful that I found your channel. I'm from a generation of women who don't love our bodies and have a crap relationship with food. So I've been binging your content because this is what I have needed to hear for so many years of my life, instead of what I grew up with which was unhealthy emotionally and physically. I'm thankful that the young men and women discovering you have such a positive role model. I wanted to thank you for this video, in which you said you were going to stop referring to your eating habits as "intuitive" or anything else. I applaud that, because any terms like this that influencers use send many people on a wild chase for the "magical intuitive eating plan that will make me look just like Natacha." They / we / I just need to love and accept ourselves and each other, then: eat, move, work, and play. Which is what we see you doing so well. Thank you again.

Good for you for leaning away from labels for your diet. I remember when you were using the term 80/20 to describe how you ate and people were always commenting "okay so is it 80/20 per day or per week? Can I have a few cheat days and then eat 100% clean the rest of the week?" I think people read into the labels way too much as a way to try to replicate them.

Wow you just absolutely nailed it, I actually recorded myself saying exactly that point and explaining how the whole point then was that it’s a very loose description of roughly what happens if you zoom right out rather than a prescription. I ended up taking it out to keep the update a little shorter but I totally agree: there’s a natural tendency to really put in rules around food even sometimes manifesting as a rule that is anti-rule.

I find it really touching whenever I hear from someone who has been supporting me from the very start. thank you so much for sticking around. everything you have written is really sweet and makes me so happy to hear that you have that perspective: I think I'm quite like you in that knowing that it will take time and a lot of honesty with myself about what I enjoy + how I feel is actually more motivating. I'm really, really grateful for you being by my side for so long, you guys have brought so much positivity to my life and I hope to repay it. Lots of love!!

As someone born and raised in the US watching this (and being new to your channel)...when it got to the scene of you in the car...had a small freak-out moment being very concerned for your safety (and also kinda impressed) that your hands weren't on the wheel....and was rationalizing that it must be a self-driving car....then remembered your awesome accent and it all made sense. Really enjoying your videos! Thank you and keep up the great work!

Natasha, my body and brain have become gelatinous. In the last 7 years my weight has fluctuated and after 3 babies, 3 miscarriages, 5 moves, an autoimmune diagnosis and 2 yrs of deep depression I am the most gelatinous I’ve ever been and it SUCKS. I am a full time stay at “homeschool homestead homemaker”and just launched two new businesses to create an additional income so that my husband can stay home full time and pursue our dream of selling our produce at farmers markets and co-ops. Your videos always inspire me and encourage me. I love you. I can feel a shift happening and I hope to use your Restart Programme soon! Much love from Michigan, USA. ❤️

Ouh Natacha, I would love to see a science explained on protein powders and protein snacks! I've wanted to increase my protein intake for bulking for years, but I'm still worried about taking protein Powder.. Most fitness influencers just say " it's just protein extracted from milk/soy/etc it can't harm you"... I tried doing some research and only found one metastudy, I'm also wondering if the research on protein powders isn't biased/ funded by biased firms... or if simply the user base of proteins powders is still too small/young a sample to see potential effects on health. I'm guessing it could interest a lot of people!

Hello! I've been following your hiit routines for a couple of years now and I love them ❤ . But recently, I think I've hit a plateau. I'm not really progressing and I'm very tired. Thanks so much for all the help, I love your videos.
