Nice job Derick! Never go all out when you are just beginning. Take your time and increase the intensity over time. Secret formula to losing weight is tracking calories. More calories out than in = weight loss. Eat lower calorie dense foods and don’t drink your calories! I have recently started eating less rice and saw a drastic change. When I crave fruit juice I just drink flavored sparkling water. I like the variety pack at Costco which has lime, lemon and grapefruit. Always drink it cold👍

It was a mistake, but we can all learn from it! I didn't really mention it in the video but I've been on a high protein/ low carb diet so I'm sure it helped with the weight loss!

Glad to see you kept your hair 😆 and great job on achieving your goal! It's definitely not easy and like others have said, starting is the hardest part, especially when you're out of shape. I despise excercise 😅 (I've just always found it boring and never enjoyed any of the activities or how I feel during or afterwards, even as a kid) but I was able to lose 65 pounds this year with better portion control, intermittent fasting (basically to re-program my appetite after years of emotional eating), eating more whole foods for snacks and some help and monitoring from my doctor. I'm about halfway to my weight goal and trying to find some kind of physical hobby next year that wont feel like excercise lol! I feel like we had it so good in the 2000s with the at-home versions of DDR, I'm like bring it back! 😭 Just Dance and the newer games just aren't the same.

Wow, great job! Happy you could keep your hair, that is some wager lol. With having five kids, I've always got fit afterwards (be physically demanding work, going to the gym or playing roller derby), but once covid happened and I decided to quit my work to home school my kids, needless to say I've put on more weight than I'd like to admit. I did lose a good amount this year, but I still have a ways to go. I am 5'3, so 160lbs is my goal, you are definitely inspiring. I struggle to have space to workout at home and I live about 20mins away from the nearest gym. Hope you keep these up and I can report some positive news too! :)

Love this dude! if you need a fitness accountability partner, hit me up! The key is to start small and work you way up! Just walking while watching anime is a great start! I went to the gym this morning and watched the latest episode of DanDanDan on the stairclimber lol The most important thing is to dial in your nutrition! Your results will mainly come from that.
