The theory in nuclei overload is to stop training for about 1-2 weeks after completing the 30 days, and the effects should be the most evident after you come back to training, so don't count it out just yet! :D

Although I believe in the principle of Nuclei overload, one of the reasons training a muscle every single day won't work optimally is that one must likely sacrifice set quality (particularily load and intensity) and therefore likely mechanical tension, which is the most important factor for hypertrophy. Challenges like these are still fun though😎 Great video Joe❤

I've got a hypothetical! What if someone where taking supplements to avoid fatigue whilst doing this? E.g SARMS would allow a person to continue performing their arm workouts at high intensities every single day without much/any set quality decrease due to muscle not becoming fatigued and repairing much quicker! Surely this would support this theory, am I missing something tho? :L

I once did push ups almost everyday for two weeks with max ROM and went to failure on each session to the point where I can’t push my self up and stand so I had to roll sideways and do a crunch. The results were great but was it nucleus overload that got me the results or the newbie gains considering that my chest was flat and triceps were not sculpted before the 2 week training.

Would like to say I’m currently in university for human physiology and exercise psychology and have learned about muscle growth via hypertrophy which everyone knows about as muscles break down they grow in size. The theory of nuclei overload or whatever it was called is a form of muscle growth known as hyperplasia; instead of muscle fibers breaking down they replicate and grow in number not size. From what I know from my classes hyperplasia within our skeletal muscles stops by the times we’re 2 years old and then muscle growth only happens via hypertrophy.

I do believe this may work in the sense that it creates more nuclei in the muscle. The problem is, during those 30 days, you're not building more muscle, you're simply perhaps adding more nuclei. Then after the 30 days and you rest them properly, you can start training them like you normally would where they receive the adequate rest they need plus proper caloric / protein surplus, and now your nuclei in the muscles will begin to help synthesizing more muscle tissue faster than they normally would. Obviously not steroid significantly faster, but slightly distinctly noticeable differences. Just my add on to the theory. First month is simply for adding nucleus not for added muscle just yet. It's like you're setting up the machinery to begin building muscle in the future.

U could definitely get away with this with biceps and forearms if u lower it to ab 2 working sets each session. Or even one. As they’re smaller muscle groups they are more easily stimulated so spreading those 10-20 sets out across 4-5 days a week is more optimal then splitting it across 1-2 days a week. Still not optimal as u should only train them 4-5 times a week at the max. Cool video tho!

Start a PPL split(Push Pull Legs), workout 6 days a week, consume 4.2K calories a day, eat 1G of protein per pound of body or 1.5G if you want to see growth quicker, make sure to take a rest day once a week and get at least 8 hours of sleep each night. If you want to see even more improvement start taking creatine monohydrate once a day with it being 5G daily and I recommend getting the powder instead of capsules as your body breaks it down easier. One way to gain calories faster is to drink them in the form of certain shakes, mass gainer shakes which are pre made and sold, and other methods. Make sure to stay consistent In the gym and diet and with creatine especially make sure to drink lots and lots of water daily. Some recommendations for supplements would be daily multi vitamins, vitamin D, Ashwaganda, and fish oil.

the extra growth won't happen during the 30 days, those 30 days are to increase the nucleous, so once u go back to a normal training program that muscle group will respond more and grow faster, supposedly, everyone doing the 30 day thing wrong, u aren't supposed to see growth during that month, but afterwards once u already got extra nucleous, is like you are vaccinatting your muscle for extra future gains, hope it makes sense?

Take 2 to 3 weeks off training arms now but continue doing your other exercises. This will be like giving the biceps and triceps enough time to rest. And then come back to normal hypertrophy exercises (rep range 8 to 12 , and volume 10 to 20 sets per week ) and then measure the results again after 1 month. We will see the difference.

@muscledoggs5662 жыл бұрын
Science is showing that progressive overload, at least in terms of load, is not necessary for muscle growth. If it was, then studies wouldn't be demonstrating that trainees can achieve the exact same level of muscle growth using their 30 RM as their 8 RM.

i don’t see how this can’t work, as long as your getting enough protein, progressing the weight and working to failure, surely if you work a muscle to failure more often, they will grow larger

The second measurement he took they literally wrapped the tape around a small bit of the tricep where it doesn’t peak as much. If they had done it in the same part I guarantee that was more like 14.6 the second time
@dylbxc91342 жыл бұрын
Very true, idk about +0.5 inches but it would definitely increase by a few points, besides the theory is that you rest for 2 weeks after the training period and then as you go back to training you will see the results more.
@charlotteh81742 жыл бұрын
You cannot guarantee anything actually. So.. factually misinformed.
@lmc33072 жыл бұрын
This form of training does not work. Your arms will measure more because the volume of blood causes swelling in the muscles so they will measure more but there’s no more muscle. You need rest (unless you’re training for strength which is completely different , you can train everyday for strength it’s very effective)

As a 9 or 10 year old kid I wanted to have arms like my dad, so I got hold of some 5kg dumbells and did bicep curls every single day for over 30 days. As an adult I am quite short in height but my right arm is definitely big in comparison to my size. I'm not sure what effect doing this as a kid had, but it seems to have increased growth in that area whilst I was still growing? Maybe that's not the case but who knows

You have to work out hard 4 weeks followed by a 2 week break. High protein diet is really important (2,2-2,6grams per kg) and when i say train hard, you have to break down the muscle as normal. As you mentioned in the video, you didn’t really fell sore or tired. Full body workouts 4 weeks works the best, not just one muscle. The body should be in survival mode if you really wanna go there🤣

This video is misleading people about the theory just because it didn't work for you and the reason is you've been training for over 5 years doesn't mean same will happen to others that their muscle mass isn't somewhere close to yours . People should know that there is cap on muscles growth and you've reached that

I did this fairly early into my lifting days (about 6 years ago) and I’ve always had comments on the size of my arms since. They also don’t really fatigue and my most impressive lifts are probably bicep preacher curls and tricep extensions/dips etc. Always wondered if doing that early doors had any effect! Hard to know really.
@prodrt12 жыл бұрын
this is my theory. if for example, you do only bicep curls and arm workouts early, maybe even before puberty or during puberty, youre going to build up enough nuclei that you after you start working out with a proper diet and plan can utilize. My reasoning is this: ive always, since like 6 years old done push ups. i could probably do 60 push ups in a row by the time i was 8. I dont think its a concidience that my chest and chest orianted workouts are my most impressive thing on my physique, and i dont have trouble growing them at all. again just a theory though
@mightymuppetz2 жыл бұрын
@@prodrt1 I wouldn’t advise doing any lifting before puberty! But aside from that I agree, perhaps in theory building nuclei early gives you a platform for longevity

You can train the same muscle every single day and still not overtrain it. As long as the training has a low enough intensity to not even need a 24-hour rest, the muscle will be able to continue without a problem (Although you probably won't gain much if you don't even feel tired after the training session, so I wouldn't recommend it).
@jonesy15892 жыл бұрын

nuclei overload results normally appear roughly 2-3 weeks after training normally as there is more nuclei in the muscle to repair it with more muscle so joe probably should have shown results a few weeks after doing the month of training arms and getting back to training normally but still a good video from him either way
