Man this video was amazing, inspiring, funny all at the same type. Idk but i was just into the video for a min or something i felt, 'man this guy is really positive'😅. Keep it up, your tuck planche journey was really inspiring for me. I gave up after the 1st week of trying. I mastered the 20 sec straight handstand last year btw.

That's pretty good progress! I am a bit taller than you (183), but slightly lighter than when you started (72kg) and in the same 7 month span I went from a bad tuck planche to a adv. tuck hold. You seemed to get your adv. tuck really quickly. And I did it with 3 sessions a week, not yours 1-2 :/ Now I'm grinding away trying to get the frog/v-planche proper form unassisted.
@Huange._. Жыл бұрын
Haha don't worry, I know the feeling! Before starting planche I had 3 years of training experience and was grinding overhead pressing for like 9 months. Also I lost my straddle so in the long term I didn't make thaaat much progress. Best wishes in your training!
@YehonatanAvidan Жыл бұрын
I highly recommend using bands to assist going from one progression to another. That what unlocked the straddle and later the full planche for me, and it is still most of my training to prevent injuries
@Huange._. Жыл бұрын
great suggestion! I underestimated the utility of bands and will try incorporating them in the future!

Hi huange, loved your videos, have you tried dumbbell planche press, do you think it has a good carry over to planche? Especially for taller guys
@Huange._. Жыл бұрын
haven't really tried it, but I'd say it has decent carryover for elbow conditioning. It's one of the more popular planche conditioning exercises since you can control the weight and do more range of motion.

Hi men awesome video! Could you maybe share some tips about how you got such a clean form in the tuck/adv tuck so quickly. I can perform adv tuck but I have so much arch when performing it, when performing tuck it’s decent but when i slightly extend my legs I compensate with arch. I can do fl 10 sec, hspu 2/3 reps and tuck 10+ secs so i think i have a decent foundation also I am quite lean ..
@Huange._. Жыл бұрын
well at the time I was able to do maybe around 7 wall handstand push-ups, which definitely helped prepare my shoulders for adv tuck. Also, I've done some protraction drills throughout my time training (banded scapula push-ups, protracted push-ups/pseudo planche push-ups. planche leans)

How often did you train the planche, as you started taking it more seriously? Or did you train 1-2 times, all the time?
@Huange._.4 күн бұрын
2-3 times per week for me was a good frequency. I tend to recover somewhat slowly so I can't handle high frequency skill training

Dude i get forearm splint(periostitis) wherever i train planche...i have tried everything to fix it like warm up rest etc..and the pain goes away but as soon as i start planche training it comes back...does this mean i can never train planche again?
@Huange._.10 ай бұрын
sorry to hear that. I think you can train planche but have to work on rehab for your forearm pain first

Is so weird that’s how I feel I got a overused injury from doing too much human flag attempt . I really love that skills and I stop doing human flag and focus on the front lever . I make a huge progress with the front lever went from advance tuck front to 1 leg front lever and to straddle front lever .

I’m trying to build my planche routine right now. Any suggestions? Were your only exercises, handstand push-ups and tuck progressions?
@Huange._. Жыл бұрын
in my case, most of my progress was made with specific training (tuck progressions that I could control for 5-10 seconds). But, I also attribute a lot of my progress to the conditioning that I did before starting direct planche work, such as handstand push-ups, planche leans, pseudo planche push-ups, and banded scapula push-ups. When you wanna make the most progress it's best to do specific training for the skill, but if it isn't your top goal you can also do conditioning for the exercise to prepare for when you want to train it for real. Hope this helps

How much volume do you recommend for each muscle group per week?
@Huange._. Жыл бұрын
Generally 10-20 sets per week seems pretty good for general muscle strength and hypertrophy. But this is a pretty individual number so it could be lower for some people and some muscle groups and higher for other people and other muscle groups. Try experimenting with different volumes and seeing what you can recover well from.

bro . if i going really hard in the gym 8-12 sets to failure every session on a 4 day split with 1 rest day it seems impossible to fit in calisthenics training when one part of your body is always fried. what can i do to balance hypertrophy training and calisthenics
@Huange._. Жыл бұрын
You can do calisthenics for some of your hypertrophy exercises. You can also start off your sessions with some calisthenics stuff first and then go into hypertrophy stuff after. In general, it can be pretty hard to balance calisthenics with hypertrophy, but you just need to pick 1 or 2 cali/hypertrophy goals to focus on at a time. It's more manageable if you focus on less stuff.

Bro i think your progression was good. Your peak straddle was nice. Its just maybe when you got the straddle, you could've made your adv tuck base higher (hold should be 10-15s or more) while focusing on rotator cuff work and rear delt work. (not prescribing, just saying what i would do for injury prevention, esp since you're quite big which means more stress on body) But overall nice man
@Huange._. Жыл бұрын
ya that probably would've been a good approach. Next time I work on planche I'll be sure to train longer holds
