I propose a challenge to you: Ludwig Göransson's score to Creed - I'd be stoked to see you venture into some electronic & hip hop production, and Creed blends that seamlessly with amazing Conti-style orchestration.

13:28 is magic. The balance between the horns and violins, the swell and vibrato in the strings, the subtle movement created by the woodwinds. Everything worked beautifully there. Nicely done, man.

I don't know, maybe, you already have somewhere this video - this would be nice to hear your history how you've become a composer. Also, would be awesome to have some video to see your usual workflow when you build the music, which tools do you use (programs, instruments, some other accessories...). Because for the guys who want to start doing some steps in this area it would be nice to see the picture on the highlevel from the professional. This would be beneficial for many people on different levels. For example, I want to understand basic theory about orchestra, some terms which you usually use. Also, I see often you use Logic Pro - would be great to hear your opinion (maybe, you know) about other daws for other OS. Thanks!

I completely agree! Mattia's posts offer so many facets to composition, arranging, performance, technical elements of Logic, and VST's, and a good part theory, while being modest, It makes watching and listening to Mattia go through his paces easy and enjoyable.

Mad, MAD respect for this one. Hisaishi has his own spirit, and you were able to humbly replicate it with a lot of fidelity (and without live instruments!). Congratulations!

Great teardown and mockup! Hisaishi is one of my favorites. In case anyone was wondering which version was used as the reference, that's the 25th anniversary Budokan performance, which is IMO one of Hisaishi's greatest concerts, and worth checking out in its entirety.

What an absolutely superb transcription of an absolutely superb piece! If I could develop even half the skill that you have for both transcription and making your virtual instruments sound so outstanding, I would be a very happy man! Bravo once more Mattia! 👏🏻

Thanks! I’m not too keep of the intro but was quite happy with the rest. The woods marcato sounds surprisingly good and I always struggle with these kinds of melodies that make use of multiple articulations

You are a very high talented musician and composer. You have a magnificent ear and you're able to make your reverse engineered version of a music composition by another compositor and his orchestral arrangement instantly... and beautifull... WOW! 👌👏👏👏

I don't know why the intro at 0:36 gives me such a warm and nostalgic feeling. Could it be because of the upward motion of the bass?
@MattiaChiappa Жыл бұрын
In part. I think it’s mostly the harmony, how the melody hits extensions of the chords and the dense orchestration. All this transports you back in time because nobody really writes like this anymore. I love it!

@@MattiaChiappa True ! I love "So was Red", it's beautiful and quite a simple orchestration, I think it wouldn't be too much of a pain for you to recreate 😉

Joe Hisaishi is one of my favorite composers - and this is such a beautiful piece, so I'm glad you did this one! Masterful job with the programming! I'd say do... something from Final Fantasy (kzbin.info/www/bejne/gmTIdZZ_o6t7rac
