Usually I use to dress with no style like I put no effort to anything even Mitch mash socks, but then I started dressing in winter androgynously because I liked the way outfits feel and now in the summer I dress more feminine because well the pockets aren’t really the best but the pants and shorts are cute! My favorite thing about fashion is the self expression! Being non-binary is so cool and getting to dress alternative and androgynous is my absolute favorite! Watching this a month later and omg !!! I'm in near tears at you telling yourself to be kinder to yourself. As someone who also dressed messy and would wear basically the same thing every day, I used to be so mean to myself ! Since starting college i've started to wear nicer clothes and taking better care of myself and it has genuinely changed my life so much !! I'm a much kinder person to myself, and by extension others. I've always struggled with my self-image since I was young, especially due to my size. For my whole life I wore nothing but jeans and a t-shirt. About a year ago I decided to start caring about what I wear and how I look and honestly I feel so much better! So fucking happy to see Garrett jazzing up his appearance. His personality has been begging for it but it always seemed like he was more concerned with hiding himself. However if there's anything I know at all, it's that you can do both. My favorite piece of clothing is a burgundy velvet overcoat with a built in vest. It's cut into the most theatrical, femenine, shape I ever could have hoped for. So even if i put it on over the clothes Ive been sleeping in for the last two days, everyone thinks I intentionally put on a cool outfit before i went outside. honestly garrett the blonde, the hair cut, shaving your beard, and the outfit you picked out, it all looked amazing put together. i love the navy blazer with a lighter blue top underneath, and the brown shoes look great with that style and paired with blue clothes. it’s hard to keep this kind of look going as a full transformation in day to day life unless you really start transforming your closet but at least having a few outfits like it can give the option to “look nicer” when you want to for certain occasions. sometimes it can be a lot of effort but it does always feel good when you do it. sometimes it’s hard to put in the effort but it always feels worth it at least once you actually do

I have huge sensory issues with clothes, so I usually try to stick with what is comfortable or familiar or I will need to actually go home and change -- I have approximately thousand sweatshirts that are specifically heavy cotton, they are my pride and joy, I wear them in the middle of summer. My favorite is a gray 2003 disney world crewneck that fits so perfectly and has those stiff wrists with a dark line at the edges. I am not the peak of fashion but I feel handsome in them so as long as we're feeling good, then we are good! The pale blue collared shirt under the suit suits you really well, like that was such a slay choice.

As someone on a journey of self love, I've got a tip. when you're wearing an outfit you feel really proud of, take a photo and post it on your socials with a song you love! I've been doing this for the past 6 months and I feel so much better about myself now and It's just so fun to see the different outfits I can make :D it helps if you have 3-4 basic pieces you can then mix and match with, and if you have a simpler shirt then pairing it with extra fun items like the bomber jacket will work really well :D My favourite dress is actually white with a bunch of flowers on it, it cinches at my waist and flows out, and makes me look like a fae so I absolutely adore it

honestly i feel that whole needing to have confidence in yourself thing. it really changes more than people think. a good haircut and good clothes always help, but if the person isnt comfortable, you can see it. even if someone is dressed "badly", if theyre confident they look amazing. a haircut and new clothes can help us feel that confidence, but we need to remember to have it every day too

Brotherr, I've spent most of my life having hand-me-downs as my main wardrobe, but in 5th grade I had gotten these soft, black yoga-type pants with a printed grey waist that like folded down. They fit so good and made me feel girly and like I was getting older!! I had them for three years, wearing them relentlessly for two then just keeping them around for another when they didn't really fit anymore. I was so sad to see them go but the handful of rhinestones in the shape of a peace sign had fallen off long ago and my style was developing greatly at the time. I will say though, I will never forget skating at my small town roller rink as a 10 year old thinking I looked so cool and being so sure I would find my soulmate there 😭 thank you for reminding me of good times Garrett and inspiring me to do some self care too!

one of the things i have learned in figuring out my style and how to dress myself best- is color blocking outfits (like a blue shirt back pants and blue shoes) making sure the items i wear fit my body nicely ( that can be a challenge for super small or tall people) and wearing things that spark joy. i have found the more things i put on that i truly love (accessorys shoes or a certain shirt) the better i feel. i have been recently sharing with people in my life no.1 if you were a Sims what would your everyday outfit be that shows who you are? no. 2 treating your body as an alter, like people have alters for deities. So treating yourself like your alter for yourself. gifting yourself with skin care for the evening, or giving your body a well made meal etc. intentional acts of self respect, compassion, and grace that will carry further in self confidence than anything- at least thats what i have found to be true for me.

Bruh as someone who has completely redone my look multiple times, I fully understand the pain of sitting hours in a target looking at all the different types and sizes of clothing. Plus Ulta can be really confusing when you’re just learning your skin type and everything. It really helped looking into dermatology and seeing what my skin and hair type was so that I could have my skin and hair looking like I want it to. I started with wearing like homeschool kid clothes and I’ve grown to comfortable with styling grunge or Y2K pieces or soft pieces. Generally it just depends on my mood. Definitely don’t be afraid to switch up your aesthetic every couple days or every day. It’s your life! PLUS I did a whole health change and lost like 40 pounds plus I changed my diet after just listening to what my body needs. That took a lot of researching/years to do lol This was definitely a fun video to watch after being in my own personal experiences lol

28:08 To get rid of the mustard stain you can try rubbing non diluted laundry detergent or even dish soap on the stain after dampening it with cold water, let the soap sit for around 10 minutes before rinsing it off with cold water again and just repeat until the stain is gone. I’ve dropped mustard on my shirt one too many times so my mom taught me how to remove mustard stains without stain remover lol. Stain remover also works but it can discolor the shirt if not careful, so be cautious if you do end up using it. Loved the video Garrett and your new look is amazing!
