Mice are just trying to live their life and survive just like we do. Thanks for your compassion for these lil guys!

Try not to uses the fluff bedding! It can be really dangerous if ingested or caught around limbs. My hamsters foot almost lost circulation when it got caught in his fluff bedding. Toilet paper is a great alternative as it won’t cause blockage if swallowed and can’t get caught around little feet! ☺️

You might be able to use one way glass film to make it so you can see them, but they can’t see you, like a one way mirror. I think I’ve seen it for windows before

Fluff bedding can be dangerous! Ive heard of small animals getting limbs becoming tangled in the fibers. Please be careful ❤

Happened to my hamster :( i think its fine as long as you dont make it too cramped and you make sure to pull it all part byt idk
@novafiregalaxy20417 күн бұрын
@kinglaffey8174 I just say don't use it at all. If there's a risk, it isn't worth it. Not to mention if a hamster or other animal puts it their cheeks to move it, they can suffocate on the fibers.

Make the squee noises! My papa made them right along side me every time we saw an adorable animal (soo...all of them...) in person (quietly for both so we didn't spook) or on video

My brother had two, was told they were female but that wasn't the case. They had a surprising litter and a few of the babies got limbs tangled up and amputated in the fluff. Then mom ate them because they were gimps. Traumatized. Watch out for that kind of fluff because... just ew.

When I was 8 years old we had a pig farm, every spring my Dad gave us all buckets and sent us into the pigs birthing barn. We would all go through and dig up mouse nests and puck out all the babies. Then we took the usually full buckets of different aged mice and threw them to our chickens as food. Needless to say, it was a bit traumatic as a kid. Thank you for doing things differently.

@@eeeeeeekkkkk how are they dumb? If order something from a restaurant and they say it’s food, which it isn’t and you die, is that dumb? No. Because you were mislead and it was falsely advertised.

@@eeeeeeekkkkk no duh. I was an inexperienced pet owner. I admit that but would never do it again. But it's rude and there was no need to call me dumb or what happened dumb. Everyone makes mistakes. It's not dumb it's part of life.

I thought that if you take a mother mouse from the babies, then it thinks they are food when she sees them again and eats them.

Yikes! She'll eat what doesn't survive.

How do you trap a mouse/rat humanly? Our pest control people put down glue traps which in turn trap a poor black racer snake which couldn’t get out of the trap even with our help. We called a place that was able to come and picked up the snake to help it get out of the glue box, turns out there was a gecko in the box as well.

That was a while ago. Long enough they should have been released. Not brought inside and babied. You said yourself you were going to release into woods. You are not catch and release. Your definitely catch and keep. To be able to do your whole " licenced wild life rehab" thing, I'd think it being spring you wouldn't have time to tinker with these non domesticated mice.
