Putting an "Ad" sticker in the thumbnail would go an awfully long way. I realize most videos you guys put out contain sponsored gear, but a video like this deserves more transparency.

I do have to agree with the other viewer frustrated at the lack of sponsorship disclosures on this channel. They may not have directly paid for this video to mention their product, but it's some pretty basic integrity to make sure that if you're bringing up a product from one of your sponsors, you mention that they are in fact a sponsor. Something like "Coros, who are one of our sponsors, but aren't directly paying to sponsor this video" would be appropriate. *Not* doing that puts some serious doubts about how much _any_ of your recommendations can be trusted.

hi Jim, thanks for the comment, we've always been very clear and upfront with the community regarding if we are being paid or have been asked to make a video that includes products. The descriptions beneath our videos state our partners. We only use and feature products from brands that we know and respect, and that we would be happy to spend our own money on. Hope that helps. Cheers

@gtn hey, I'm sorry, but burying a disclosure in the description is simply not adequate. It's a well-known fact that nobody reads the description. I'm gonna briefly touch on the legal guidelines in the UK, but I want to preface it by saying that it is very important to remember the legal guidelines are the _bare minimum._ It should not be acceptable to state that you are merely complying with the law. You should be aiming to be as clear as possible with your audience. We expect better. The CMA states that "If you’ve been incentivised in any way to promote a brand, or product…it’s important that all this content is clearly identifiable as an ad". They go on to list "commercial relationships, including sponsorships", so not merely direct advertisements. They say "all labels must be clear, prominent and easy to understand. It is not enough just to tag a brand in your post" and that "Your audience should not have to…scroll or select the link for more information". This video's first and longest segment mentions a product whose manufacturer you have a commerical relationship with, but does not clearly and up-front disclose that relationship. I think that there's a very high chance you may be flirting with the wrong side of the law in this video (and similar previous cases). But even if you do come down on the right side of it in the CMA's eyes (I'm not familiar with UK case law), it's certainly not up to the high standards I would have hoped you would hold yourselves.

Agree, a simple "Coros, who have sponsored other videos" wouldn't do anything to hurt this video. This is legally murky ground as far as I understand it, standards bodies definitely encourage disclosure of ongoing financial relationships like this

I have just got the Runna app to start training for my second marathon. For my first one I used the Strava training plan but that didn't work very well for me as a then 56 year old woman who's only got into organised running in the last few years . Anyway, I was surprised the Runna app didn't ask anything about my age, only a time for a recent distance, as I anticipate it would take someone like me a bit longer to make the same improvements than a man in his 30s, for example.

Thank you Heather. I got no problem with that you and all of you show products by companies who sponsor you. It’s better for me to see that someone like you tried the products in real training. And it’s not bad products. We who follow you I suppose we are all adults and can understand that it’s also sponsored products. And even I maybe don’t buy those products but something similar. I love Runna! Their training plans are tailor made for most athletes and got me from barely finishing a 10 in the spring to smashing a HM in November. It even got my GF interested in structured workouts, and she smashed her 5k goal. She even kept on running, still using Runna to keep her running form.

@@gtnnot trying to simp for you guys too hard but I'll never understand why people consume free quality content, and complain about when and how you guys advertise your sponsors who make this free quality content possible. GCN and GTN have always been transparent about their sponsors and when they're advertising. So maybe just this one time Heather was legitimately enjoying a product irrespective of the product brand. Idk much about coros but I know my wahoo armbased hr sensor was a piece of hot garbage so....yeah. Y'all need to chill about the ads.

Off subject, I need help please. I have no pain while running, when I bend my left knee and put weight on it, I get a sharp pain in the knee, it doesn't last more than an instant, but it's repeatable, It happens when I do lunges and backwards lunges. I think it's my patella, I used a patella strap one day and made it much worse. I can run 10 miles, but a single lunge affects my knee, it seems to come and go. I think rest makes it better but it comes back.

I’m quite disappointed by the fact that, first, you’re increasingly adding advertisements, and second, that they are not clearly disclosed in the video (as another comment very accurately pointed out). However, I think the biggest disappointment lies in GTN’s responses, which, instead of apologizing and taking feedback into account for the future, remain inflexible and fail to acknowledge any wrongdoing.

I think GCN have been fairly upfront about it when it happens. Its strange that GTN aren't following suit. The only time I think its suspect with them is when videos are converted to podcast form and you don't see the on screen disclosure
